Izuku and The Sea Dragon

Chapter 32- Trial by Water

3rd POV:

The Trial by Water begins and all of our protagonist are in deep waters. All of them trying to prove that they have indeed improved under the influence and guidance of none other than Umi, The Serpentine Dragon.

The Trial by Water consist of gathering pearls in order for them to pass and beat the trial. Each pearls are hidden in three areas, guarded by creatures that Umi created that will challenge her students. All of them are separated into three groups, battling the creatures of the sea.

Stranded in a ship, surrounded by nothing but the sea as it stretches into the horizon. Katsuki, Momo, Mina, and Sero, all stuck at a pirate ship as they battle their way to retrieve the pearl. The creatures that are holding on to the pearl are pirates in bones and nothing more. Wielding swords and guns, they're not going to let them steal their treasure.

The skeleton crew, were being commanded by the pirate captain as he wore the pearl necklace with pride on his neck. If they were to lose the battle, they will be walking off the plank and will be swimming with the sharks.

In an island, there lies a cave that leads to an underground cavern, filled with sea water. No light can enter the cavern as it is shrouded by nothing but darkness. Hitoshi, Jiro, Kirishima, and Tetsutetsu, all swam into the cavern, in search of the pearl that they are sought to find and retrieve.

All goes well as they were breathing normally and can even talk underwater, they suspect it to be Umi's doings. It was a normal underwater dive until it was not.

Because in the darkness they're not alone.

Fishes of blue and white surrounded them in the cavern with razor sharp teeth that can bite into flesh and bones. Jiro heard their movements in the water as an unknown light source appeared that revealed the fishes to them. Ready to take a bite.

Lost at sea is what can perfectly describe Izuku, Kaminari, and Shoto's situation. Dropped into the raging sea as they battle the hungry waves that want to swallow them whole and bring them down into the depths of the ocean.

Izuku found Kaminari almost drowning as he saved him and created a sphere of water to protect them from ocean storm. Soon they found Shoto floating in an ice that he created as he tries not to be swept away by the waves.

All of them were safe, until they were not.

They were met with a giant eye as it launched them up into the air, destroying Izuku's sphere that served as their only protection. Luckily, they were saved when Shoto created a giant iceberg that they landed safely on.

Soon, they met their enemy as it turned out to be a whale of blue hue with luminescent white lines marking its whole body. The whale is as large as Moby Dick in the bible as it reached a whole 90ft in length. Such a creature, will they be able to defeat it and retrieve the pearl?

Umi is in her cave with an orb as she oversees every area that they have landed on. Watching them as she made sure that no one actually dies during this Trial by Water exam that she has created. She watched all of them as she gave out a smile.

"Show me what you all can do, Young heroes-in-training." Umi said as she had high hopes for all of them.

Katsuki, Momo, Mina, and Sero, were all surrounded by skeleton pirates with guns and swords. Momo looked around and saw no escape as they were nowhere near prepared to fight yet, and they were outnumbered greatly. Momo then looked below them and had an idea to escape.

"Everyone, come closer to each other." Momo whispered as they all move towards each other, following her instructions. "Mina, melt the wooden planks around us so that we'll fall down to the bottom floor of the ship." She whispered into Mina's ear as she nodded.
