Izuku and The Sea Dragon

Chapter 33- Sports Festival: Part 1

3rd POV:

Since we last saw our protagonists, they were undergoing the Trial by Water exam that Umi had created for them. It is an exam for the protagonists, to prove that they have indeed improved during their training with Umi.

They had to fight a Pirate Captain and his skeleton crew, survive enormous fish beast with razor sharp teeth, and defeat a whale that can summon storms and massive waves. They all passed and have proven to Umi that they have improved greatly.

By the time that they had managed to retrieve the pearls, the exam ended and a door appeared out of nowhere. The door was colored with a blue and white hue. It had doorknob and a hole where they keyhole should be. They placed the pearl in the hole of the doorknob and it opened, revealing Umi's cave where she was waiting for them.

It came to a surprise that they had defeated their challenges all at the same time, since they all entered Umi's cave all together. All of them looked extremely exhausted and were panting like dogs. Some of them had their costumes torn and ripped, while some had scratches, bruises, and a lot of injury.

Umi congratulated them all with a warm smile and told them that they did a wonderful job, to which they groaned in response. Umi then told them to go home and to rest since they all had a long day, not to mention that the Sports Festival was near.

She opened a portal leading to their way back home. Umi bid them all a farewell while they just waved tiredly and went through the portal. No one spoke to one another when they got back, they just quietly walked the pathway out of the forest. They bid each other goodbye as they got to the station.

When Izuku and Hitoshi got back home, their two dads were extremely worried since it was almost 7 in the evening. When the couple heard the sound of the front door opening, they rush to their kids to scolded them for being late.

When they saw their kids they had shocked faces. They both looked extremely tired, even more so for Hitoshi since his eyebags became darker than they usually were. Hizashi and Shouta ran to them and gave them hugs when they closed the front door.

"What happened?! Why do you all look like you fought monsters?! And why are you wearing your costumes?! And what happened to your costumes?!" Hizashi asked in lightning speed, accidentally using his quirk as Shouta covered his mouth and erased his quirk.

"Explain what happened problem children." Shouta said as he was glaring at them in an intimidating manner.

"We, had to do Umi's exam. It was so that to prove to her if we really did improved after the 2 weeks training with her." Izuku in a slow and tired voice.

They then explained to them what they had to go through from battling sea creature to gathering pearls. They explained that Umi was the one that told them to bring their costumes just for the exam. Hizashi and Shouta nodded in understanding and felt extremely bad and at the same time proud of them.

Luckily, Hizashi made katsudon for dinner and Izuku was extremely happy after a very tiring day. Both Aizawas ate their meals like it was the last thing they'll eat on earth as their foods disappeared in a manner in minutes. They both had satisfied stomachs in the end.

After that, they went to sleep in an instant after laying down on their beds.

The next day, the day before the Sports Festival, they all were still extremely tired. All of the IzuSquad got to school and looked sleep deprived as they sat down on their seats in their classroom. Class 1-A took note of this and asked them why they looked so tired, to which they shrugged it off as training.

When class started, most of them fell asleep as they can't help but close their eyes during class. All of them slowly fell asleep, leaving Momo on her own. She fought to stay awake and take notes but fell asleep during Ectoplasm's math class.
