"how's everything going today?" a beautiful woman asked, leaning against her husband's side as he was looking at his realm from the highest tower of their castle.
"as usual, weather being hot, sky being red, people being nice." the man answered. "what can we ask more?"
the lady chuckled as her husband wrapped his arm around her waist to hold her close.
the king and the queen of the demon realm both looked at the view, smiles plastered on their faces.
they admired the beauty of what they built in the past, and hoped the best for the future of their world.
"mom, dad." a voice called from behind. "you wanted to see me?"
"come here, jaehyun." the father said with a hand motion.
the well-built boy walked to his parents, standing in-between them as they had stepped aside to allow him to be squished between their bodies.
the two parents wrapped their arms around their son, the mother dropping a quick kiss on his cheek.
"have you seen the beauty of this place?" the mother asked, smiling brighter than ever.
their son shrugged, barely glancing at the view.
"when the time will come, you'll be the one to stand there and rule this realm." his father précised.
"i still have time." jaehyun replied.
"yes, but you need to prepare yourself."
the twenty-four-year-old male sighed, cuddling further into his parents' embrace.
it wasn't often that they had tranquil time, all three of them together.
he cherished those moments.
"i hope you'll manage to make our people happy, jaehyun." the mother said.
"it's the most important." the father added.
"are they happy now?" jaehyun couldn't help but ask.
and as usual, a scowl appeared on his father's face.
"they used to be." he replied. "but now that both realms have been separated... everything changed... for the worst..."
"and are you planning to do anything about it?" jaehyun questioned further.
"unite them again."
