jaehyun and doyoung were still on the floor, jaehyun having his arms wrapped securely around doyoung's body while their lips were touching and their eyes were widened.

they were both completely frozen, not daring to move a muscle.

doyoung was the first one to regain his spirits after whet felt like an eternity.

he quickly wiggled out of jaheyun's embrace, standing up to his feet as jaehyun did the same in front of him.

"h-huh..." doyoung let out, his cheeks redder than ever, and his heart beating madly in his chest. he was about to collapse on the floor again because of the way his body was reacting to this kiss.

jaehyun was in the same state, his eyes glued to doyoung's ones as his heart was trying to get out of his ribcage.

this was the best moment to confess. it wasn't as he had planned it, but hopefully it will be even better that how he had planned it.

one problem though, the rush of adrenaline that was pumping through his veins was so strong that the demon had completely forgotten what he had prepared for his confession.

"i-i'm s-sorry..." doyoung let out. "i-i t-tripped..."

jaehyun gulped, trying to find the courage to speak.

he knew he would say exactly what he had planned.

his mind was disfunctionning at the moment, he couldn't remember all the words, all the metaphors he had prepared for it to be one of the best moments of their lives.

but he needed to talk.

he needed to confess.

"i like you, doyoung." he spilled, his lips quivering madly after those words got pronounced crystal clear.

it had been short, it had been sweet, and this way to tell it was way better than any monologue on how your loved one reminded you of a cherry blossom tree whose flowers were slowly appearing during early spring days.

"j-jaehyun..." doyoung's eyes widened as his heartbeat accelerated again. he took a step forwards, getting closer to the demon.

"i have been liking you for a while now. i was just too scared to tell you." jaheyun continued, slowly regaining his confidence. "but now, i can't hold it in anymore. i want you to know that i like you. i want the whole realm to know that i have fallen deep for you, kim doyoung." he marked a small pause, his eyes never leaving doyoung's. "you may not return those feelings, but i don't care, doyoung. seeing you happy will make me happy, whether you find your happiness in me or in another man. i won't try to convince you that i'm the best man for you because everything will be difficult. we're from different realms, from opposite worlds, and this union could cause a discord at the head of the realms. but i don't care either. i like you, and i'm ready to endure any pain if this means that i can call you mine."jaehyun continued speaking very calmly. "so, kim doyoung... will you become my boyfriend despite all the risks that our union could give birth to?"

doyoung's smile widened throughout jaehyun's speech.

his heart pumped so fast in his chest, making him question if he wasn't going to pass out very soon.
