"welcome to my realm..." doyoung said with a smile as he and jaehyun crossed the portal that brought them inside his bedroom.

"it's... blue." jaehyun stated as soon as he entered and noticed the completely blue surroundings; the blue tapestries, the blue sheets, the blue furniture, and even the blue sky he could catch by the window. "but it's very beautiful."

"a bit too cold for me." doyoung shrugged, wearing a jacket that was resting on the edge of his bed.

it was crazy how the temperature could change when passing from a wold to another.

jaehyun didn't really seem bothered by it, though.

he was still wearing his simple t-shirt, and he showed no sign of shivering compared to doyoung who was cold despite wearing multiple layers of clothes.

"i'm sorry, i won't be able to make you visit the castle since... you know?" doyoung said with a sad smile.

"babe..." jaehyun pulled doyoung closer to him and hug him. "don't apologise for things you can't control. it's not our fault if our realms were separated..."

"yeah, but i visited your place..." doyoung pouted. "and i'm not able to make you visit mine..."

during the many days that doyoung had spent in the demon realm, him and jaehyun had maybe missed a few schooldays for doyoung to discover the beauties of the demon realm.

they had wandered around the streets, and jaehyun had even insited that doyoung visited his castle.

"we still have plenty of time, babe." jaehyun pecked the boy's temple, his hot lips warming doyoung up. "i'm sure that in the future, we'll manage to make everything better."

"i hope so..." doyoung nodded.

"i know so." jaehyun corrected. "now give me a kiss."

doyoung chuckled lightly before lifting his head and pecking his boyfriend's lips, making warmness spread through his body.

he'll never get tired of this.

he'll never get tired of jaehyun.

and if only his parents could understand that...

"have you already thought about your future, doyoung?" the king of the human realm asked out of nowhere while they were eating.

"why asking me this right now?" the heir answered with a brow raised.

"you've been awfully silent since the beginning of the dinner. you didn't even complain about being cold." his father explained.

doyoung shrugged.

what could he say?

he wanted this dinner to end the quickest possible; jaehyun was waiting for him in his bedroom alone. and this was because of the narrowmindedness of his parents.

doyoung's mind was – just like always during the past month – diverting to the hot demon and all his little attentions towards him. he was completely hypnotized by their love.

"doyoung?" the heir's mother asked. "you ddin't answer your father's question."

"i did." doyoung replied, looking at his father to make him understand that he was talking to him.

"that's good. you know that the time you'll get to the throne is approaching." the king smiled.

"i still have some time." doyoung replied nonchalantly.

"sure, but you need to think about everything beforehand." the queen interjected.

"like what?" doyoung raised a brow.

his parents exchanged smiles, making doyoung understand that they were going to speak about topics he didn't really want to talk about.

"like, who will become your lover." the mother replied.

"like, what measures you'd like the realm to set in place." the father added.

"like, when getting children will be the best."

"and... like, what will you do about the demon realm."

doyoung looked at them totally uninterested.

"i still have time." he replied.

"we'd like you to answer those questions, doyoung. it's important. this doesn't mean that it will be what will happen in the future. but you need to start thinking about it right now." the king told.

doyoung hummed before standing up.

"i'll think about it."

his parents were starting to get on his nerves.

why were they stressing him like this?

and why did they keep despising the demon realm when they didn't even know how it was.

"doyoung." the queen spoke in a cold tone, making her son stop moving. "stay here, and answer those questions."

"i have things to do." the heir replied.

"it is an order." the king growled.

the heir rolled his eyes, turning around to look at both of his parents.

"i have an idea of who could become my lover, and i don't know yet if having children before getting crowned is a good idea. and concerning the two other questions, you won't like my ideas." he said quickly.

"tell us about them, doyoung." the king smiled. "there is no wrong answer."

doyoung raised a brow, taking all the courage that was inside of him to say those next words.

"my main measure will be to unite both realms again."

and with that said, the boy rushed to his bedroom without letting the time for his parents to process what had just been said.

doyoung ran across the corridors of the castle, climbing the stairs quickly to get to his bedroom.

he slammed the door open, startling his boyfriend who was watching the sunset by the window.

the view was ethereal for doyoung; jaehyun was leaning on the ledge of the window, his black sweatpants hanging low on his hips, and his bare back on full display.

"babe." jaehyun smiled as doyoung closed the door.

"sorry you had to wait." doyoung replied, approaching his boyfriend.

"don't apologise." jaehyun wrapped the boy in a hug. "is everything alright?" he asked after a second, noticing his boyfriend was out of breath.

"not really, but i guess you'll understand in a second." he replied.

"what does that- "

"KIM DOYOUNG!" the door of the bedroom was slammed open. "WHAT THE HELL DOES THAT MEAN?!"the king screamed seeing his son in the arms of someone that couldn't be anyone else than a demon.
