it was no lie that kazuha had been through a lot. the poor male had to suffer the pain of losing one of his closest friends. he couldn't do anything to avenge him, he was hopeless.
well, that's what he wanted to think at least. on his way back to his homeland, his eyes landed on the thundery skies. perhaps something was waiting for him.
finally, at long last, he arrived. beidou had told the male to go somewhere, since he was told that they needed help fighting off the army and of course he went.
but while fighting, his eyes landed on someone. someone so fierce and brave, someone who was fighting by his side. luckily, she had noticed his gaze on her and gave him a smile.
"stare at me all you want, i know i look good." she teased the male and that caught him off guard.
"actually nevermind, just keep fighting lover boy!"

"Y/N."
"just Y/N?" he pondered,
"yup, I'm guessing you're kaedehara kazuha?"
she greeted with a soft smile on her lips. perhaps this was the start of his eternal happiness. after all, he had been through a lot, surely she would stay.

beidou tried her best to run to the battlefield as quickly as possible, her footsteps were heavy as she held her claymore. but when she arrived, she was too late.
bodies were everywhere. the stench of blood was spread through the air as the fiercest member of the resistance took her final stand against the shogun.
"you—!" she yelled, tears were flowing down her scarred cheeks. "you took everything away from me!" she yelled,
"my dear sister, Y/N, it was very much needed. you were against my desires to search and long for eternity." raiden had said, and everyone who still had their consciousness left were left in disbelief.
but the one who was the most shocked was kazuha, the person he dearly loved was the sister of his friend's killer.
"you were never my sister!"
"perhaps i never was, now, let the final ceremony begin." she said before raising her hand up, her eyes staring right at Y/N.
"bring forth judgement." she whispered and lightning had struck the fierce warrior down. kazuha shook his head and cried out, "No!"
raiden turned her head to the male, her blank eyes staring at him. was this the eternity she had hoped for? yes, but it did not satisfy her.
