GenesisI was obsessed with Mason and I didn't care anymore. I needed him to be here with me and his "disgust" for me made my love for him even stronger.
I watched as Mykah slept soundly. I felt so bad for her. Just imagine being paralyzed for the rest of your life. She hadn't been talking much either, just sleeping. I would give her her medicine and food twice a day but that's it. Her problem wasn't mine and I wasn't going to be forced to take care of her. So I hired a live in nanny.
I hated how Mason thought everything was a joke. And I hated that it was all Mykah's fault. She should had never hit my man. Now look at her.
I watched her for a few more minutes before exiting her room. "Priscilla?!" I called out my nanny's name. I needed her to pack a small bag for me. I had already bought my ticket to Hawaii, just hadn't packed anything yet.
"Yes ma'am?" Priscilla's big ass appeared from around the corner with a mop in her hand. "Did you pack my bag up for my trip later?"
"I- no ma'am. I'll get that right away." Priscilla disappeared down the hall swiftly.
Y'all probably think I'm crazy, but I'm not.
Is what I'm doing wrong? It's not right? People do anything for love. Anything. And my love for Mason was so pure, so sweet.
Sweeter than honey almost.
He was the one for me, and I was the one for him. I was going to make him fall in love with me by any means.
"Ma'am! Christina is here!" Priscillas nasally voice called out.
My friend since culinary school, Christina, or Tina, walked into the living room looking flawless as she usually did. She was coming to Hawaii with me because I wasn't "capable of going by myself". Or something like that.
"Genny." Tina dropped her bag on the couch and reached out to hug me. "How are you?"
"I'm ok. Living. Can't wait to see my man." I smirked and Tina rolled her eyes.
"Girl, this man better be Denzel Washington the way you talking." She took of her leather gloves and put them into her pocket.
"Better than that.. ughhh, sent from heaven."
Tina laughed and waved me off. "Yeah whatever. I'm just ready for the beach... and the fine Hawaiian men."
"Chile bye." I walked off into the kitchen but Tina followed behind me. "Tell me about him.. like how old is he for starters..."
"Why does his age matter?" I questioned.
"Oh Lord. How young Genny? And wait... what happened to August? I thought you were getting married?"
"None of that matters anymore, Tina." I said. "I told him I would marry him but I was just playing. I wasn't serious."
"Here you go... you clearly are delusional." Tina shook her head back and forth and I just stared at her. Ok maybe I was delusional. So what.
