Miss no name POV

"Where am I going?" I asked James while he was driving a little too fast if I could say. I was really nervous about this but I had a lot of curiosity of every detail. I got that from my mother. My dad would always say that Mom always wanted to know everything and wouldn't let anyone try to give her surprises.
"It is a surprise! You will just have to wait and see." He responds with a smile. "I hate surprises just tell me please," I insist. I have never been good with surprises due to my anxiety. "Never! Just let it be ok?" I stop insisting not wanting him to feel pressured. This might be my only chance to get a real friend. Wait! What if this is all a joke? I overthink everything and I know it isn't good, but it has helped me to survive in this jungle.

We arrived to the beautiful Huntington beach . The last memory that I have of my father is this beach. I wish my father was here. I would have still been that open and colorful girl I was. But now that he is gone everything has changed. He was the only person that made me feel happy, safe, and loved. Well my mom as well, but not anymore.

"Here we are." James affirms while parking the lambo. The sun is still out. I check my watch and it is only 5:30pm. We both get out of the car. "The beach? What do you exactly have in plan?" I ask with some sass on my voice. "Well since I got here to LA I normally come here to clear out my head, but this time I was planning to swim a little bit with you." He starts taking his shirt off showing his abs which look amazing if you ask, but I wouldn't dare to say.

"Umm I don't think so. I am not going in without a swimsuit and as you can see I don't have one on." I am in full denial of this plan, but not because of the swimsuit. I feel uncomfortable with my body which is why I wear mostly black and big hoodies. He jumped into the water without hesitation. "Come on! Get in here. It's actually warm and cozy." He is trying to persuade me, but I really can't do this. I sit in the carpet that I just settled in the sand. I take my book, "The beginning starts with an ending" which I love because it is a novel written in such a poetic way. I feel a shadow is hovering over me and I look up. "Well, Ms. No Name is a book eater. I am actually not surprised. You got the looks for it." He gets his towel to get dry. "You say I am a geeky nerd?" Pretending to be offended by his statement. "Nah, is just that I can see that your eyes know more than they should. Which is good living in a jungle like this world. Between you and me I like reading too. It takes me into another dimension and makes my reality fade away for a little while." I am shocked that a jock like him reads. "You are a mystery aren't you Moseley," I ask with a grin on my face. He can't resist but smile as well, "Come on, I want to take you to eat real italian food." He didn't have to answer my question we both knew it was true. This guy is just something else. But I can't let him in. I can't fall in love. I can't let that happen.

~James POV~

I am so excited to take her to my uncle's restaurant. They prepare good italian food. During the car ride I explain to Ms. No Name a little bit of where I come from. "My family came to Orange County from Italy when I was just six years old. This story starts when my father being an american moved to Italy to find a better life, but he fell in love. He found my mother who is part of a huge lousy italian family. All the family joined us to live in Cali because in Italy family is the most important thing and it must stay together no matter what. Now I moved to Los Angeles which I am living alone in an apartment. My mom wasn't very thrilled of this, but I had to leave Orange County." I couldn't stand being there one more second.

I really hope she likes italian food because I want to impress her. She is incredibly beautiful. Her shiny brown eyes, her delicate hands, her way of talking, her stuborness. Everything about her is amazing. I know she isn't like the girl every guy would like to date, but that's what I like about her. I really want to know her. No one sees what I see about her. She is really something else. I know she is closed and has a huge wall around her. But it's understandable because of the bullying. I don't know how, but I want to break that shell and I won't let anyone hurt her. Maybe that will lower my little reputation that I have because I am starting to play american football, but I will do anything it takes to make her happy. And I hope one day I will know her real name.

I open the door of the restaurant letting her in first like the gentleman I am and the first thing I see is my aunt Madeline. (pronounced madeleine) She gives me a hug and a kiss.

"Oh my James. I am so happy you came here. We missed you so much. Oh and who is this beautiful young lady?" My aunt is for sure someone who just just knows everything before even you telling her. For sure she knows I like her.
How am I gonna say her name if I do not even know it?

"Umm she is a friend of school," I try to avoid an awkward moment. "And her name is?" My aunt keeps insisting which is something that is very usual of her. What am I going to say? Suddenly miss no name decides to speak.

"I am Ariana Rivera. Nice to meet you," she kisses my aunt a kiss in both cheeks. I am in shock. Ariana Rivera. Wow, what a beautiful name. "Very lovely name. Well sit where ever you want and order what you please. It's on the house." Aunt Madeline winks and heads to the kitchen. While we are walking towards a table I ask, "Hey so now do I have to keep calliny you miss no name or Ariana because Ariana sounds beautiful."
She laughs with her hand on her mouth shyly. "Yes, you can call me Ariana or Aria but never Ana ok?" She became super serious so to cut the ice I decided to say,
"Well Aria I hope you know that you won't get rid of me that easy. I am thinking of staying here. And I certainly need someone like you." He cheeks turn red immediately. I love bringing that effect on her.

We kept talking and having fun. In fact she loved the food. It was an unforgettable night. And finally I know that beautiful name I have always wanted to hear. I hope that in the future she likes me as much as I do now.
