"So tell me--why are we on an airplane again?"
Kade stared out the window for a few seconds, his jaw tightened as he swallowed and turned to me. "Because in case there's trouble brewing, I have some energy saved up to get us out of here." He murmured gently, glancing back out the window. I stared in the window's reflection of his blank expression, "Besides...I don't know what to expect when we get there." He lightly added, sinking back into my seat and huffed. Ever since we got on the plane, something has grown over Kade it made me a little worried. It was like he was under a spell of something: Didn't talk much(which was awesome.), sat rather stiff, chewing on his lip as he stared at the window. As much as I hated his sarcastic ass, I did worry the longer it was cast upon him.
I licked my bottom lip, sucking a small breath in. "So who are we meeting with?"
"An rather old...acquaintance." he swallowed, not moving away from the window. "I'll tell you more when we get off."
I let a minute of silence pass before I spoke again, whispering his name. He craned his head so little but his stone grey eyes landed on me, darkening. "What's wrong? You're starting to worry me."
He blinked, his eyes on the seat in front of him. "I hated walking on the line between life and death, that's all." He melted away from his seat, hunching his shoulders. "Personally, it's exciting but not without Sin...it's making me sick to my stomach. It's a like a kid who can't find its damn mother in the grocery store so all they can really do it cry and scream till they find them but this isn't the case." He grabbed the arms with white knuckles, "She keeps calling my name but running away from me, taunting me." He hissed, seeing his fangs starting to come out. I touched his shoulder, leaning over with him.
"Remember there's humans on this plane." I rubbed his back, feeling the tension underneath his hoodie. He closed his eyes and growled ever so faint, forcing them back in. He sat back and sucked a breath in, holding it, exhaling through his mouth. "Good." I whispered, grabbing his fist. "It's going to be alright....I'm not going to let you die, Kade. I promise on my own."
He glanced over at me, something flashing over his dark eyes. Appearing that he wanted to argue by expression, he snapped his head back to the window; suddenly feeling his fingers slip through mine. I glanced down at his hand, not saying anything but now noticing faint markings on his skin. They weren't blue like those practically branded into him but faint white, I opened my mouth but then his husky voice stopped me. "And I promise the same."
I sadly glanced up, studying him as he glared out the window.
What was happening to him?

Little kids giggled while they ran passed us, Kade remaining silent since we got off the plane and had wandered onto the docks. Besides the heavy cloud that hung over him, it was amazing here. I wouldn't mind staying a few days here matter of fact. I kept silent as Kade lead the way, turning left with heavy steps. At one point I thought was going to put his heel through the wooden boards.
"Let me do the talking, okay? She doesn't know you that well."
I unesaily spoke, raising a brow at his back. "Okay."
"Besides." He exhaled, "I hope she hasn't changed a bit."
I stared at his back from his last comment. We turned left once more, heading toward a little cabin on the dock. He peeked over his shoulder passed me then to the people, assuming he was looking out before he grabbed the doorknob and let himself in. He held it open for me, hesitating but stepping in. Unlike outside, it was dark and quite musky in here; cramped too. Kade shut the door, the darkness swallowing us.
