CHAPTER THREE
i'd rather rage than sit around all day▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
𝐏arty music blared out on the speakers outside a car wash on the sunny morning of Saturday. The area was packed with cars and lots of teenagers, all dressed in summer clothing, and helping one another clean cars without complaint. In fact, most of them had gone out of their way to voluntarily help raise a fundraiser for Miguel's surgery. It was a hot day but everyone seemed happy to be helping someone in need.
The mastermind of the event? None other than the LaRusso sisters who had kind smiles on their faces as they helped their friends. Greeting new people in their dirty cars every now and then.
Raegan chuckled as she walked past Demetri who threw his spray bottle behind his back and caught it. The lanky boy flashed her a playful wink and one-finger gun, and she shook her head at his antics, continuing to walk away.
"Rae!" Someone called.
She turned around and found her sister with a big smile on her face, and she walked towards her, the brunette slipping her arm on hers. They continued to walk, approaching a familiar face, Moon, who was cleaning a car with her fellow cheerleaders.
"Hey, Moon," Samantha greeted while Raegan only smiled at their friend.
"Hey," Moon beamed at them.
Samantha smiled. "Thanks for bringing out the cheerleading them━"
"Yeah, 'cause they are definitely helping to attract customers," Raegan commented, exchanging a raise of an eyebrow with Samantha.
Moon giggled, not getting what they were saying. Samantha tilted her head confusedly, and asked, "But I thought you were a feminist?"
"Oh, I'm a sex-positive feminist. Our bodies are an expression."
The two girls could only nod slowly, trying to understand what she said, but Moon just smiled and went back to what she was doing. Samantha turned to her and shrugged her shoulders, a playful smile on her face.
"If my body is an expression," Raegan said as they began to walk away. "it would be my fist going through someone else's face."
Samantha laughed. "That's an expression, all right."
It was all fun and games until a certain group of misfits decided to mess around with them. Raegan was having a peaceful time guiding her friends here and there, and Samantha was off to reporters who were broadcasting their little fundraiser. After all, she was never good with the spotlight, so she let her sister do all the talking while working on the sidelines.
She had seen her... friends, from Cobra Kai, arrive earlier on their motorcycles, completely annoyed by the sight of their little get-together. But they didn't approach them until everyone was gone, and there were only so few of them around the premises. By little━there were only Nathaniel and Raegan herself around the car wash.
They came like a pack of wolves, preying on the lonely and weak. Just because they thought the kid wouldn't be able to fight back. At first, they forcefully took the money from him and then proceeded to have him in a headlock. When they threw the first punch, that's when Raegan stepped out in the dark. Taking the money was fine. But hurting a kid who's done nothing to them? That's stepping over the line.
"Hey!" Raegan yelled, marching towards them despite the fact she was outnumbered. She didn't care though. She wasn't going to let the kid get beaten up alone, and even if they did try to fight her the same━at least the kid wouldn't be alone.
