CHAPTER ONE
nothing you do can put an end to my day

𝐑aegan wasn't supposed to be up at night and sneaking out of the house. But she was, and it didn't quite end up well. Her friends had called her up and invited her to the diner to celebrate Cobra Kai's victory with them. She wanted to come. But God had other plans for her as her mother had caught her. Amanda didn't react as badly as she expected her to, and for a second, Raegan was glad she was the one who saw her.

Amanda wanted to let her have fun, but she reminded her about the consequences and how Daniel would react, and that was enough to stop her. Miguel had enough on his plate right now, and she didn't want to add an overly protective father trying to make him stay away from his daughter.

Meanwhile, everybody in Cobra Kai was celebrating in some nice diner with big smiles on their faces. Except for one person. Miguel Diaz sat around a tiny table by himself, holding his phone in his hand, trying to search for someone's name on Instagram. More specifically, Samantha LaRusso. No, he wasn't stalking her or anything. He was actually hesitating whether to message her or not.

But he wanted to apologize to her for everything wrong he did. He wanted to resolve their friendship because he didn't want Raegan to feel like she needed to do something about it. It wasn't her job to do that. It was his as he was the one who messed up things in the first place. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable about it.

He admits he was blinded by everything. It was always about striking first, and he realized he'd done that without even thinking about the consequences. He made rash decisions, and he was now paying for it. In the diner, Raegan was nowhere to be seen. Miguel had been expecting her to enter through that door for the past minutes now, but then he received a message from her, telling him, she got caught and wasn't allowed to go out.

Maybe she was allowed to go out. But not with them, and definitely not him. He wasn't dumb. He knew that her father didn't want her hanging out with the likes of them.

Other than that, the words that Samantha had said to him last back at the arena couldn't leave his mind. It kept repeating, like a never-ending marching band, and all he could do was━well, nothing. The thought of it made him nervous. It made his heart race twice faster than it normally does. It made him nauseous like he couldn't believe it was real. Hell, he wasn't even sure if she was telling the truth.

But then again, maybe Raegan was just too good of an actress. If she was, then Miguel Diaz was damned, because he was sure she was doing something crazy to his heart every time she was around him.

Meanwhile, Samantha sat alone in her room on her bed, quietly scrolling through her Instagram feed, filled with almost half of their pictures. Mostly, funny, goofy pictures. She sucked in a breath, almost on the verge of crying, but she pursed her lips and clicked the block button on his page. With one last glance at the photos, she pressed 'yes' without hesitation. Successfully blocking his account so she could no longer see the pictures that he would be posting.

To say it wasn't painful was a huge understatement. But she sucked it up and told herself that it was for the better. It wasn't the end of the world, and there were still a lot of things she hadn't experienced.

Raegan had so many things on her mind right now. She wasn't so sure about everything at the moment. It's like, there's something wrong━or something was about to go wrong. She felt guilty for from the fact that she liked Miguel, and it didn't make it any better that he knew of her feelings.
