CHAPTER ELEVEN
such an bitter irony

𝐏arties were never one of her strongest suits. Raegan has a love-hate relationship with parties. She didn't really know what to wear, so as soon as she got home, she searched on Google and found some interesting outfits that some actresses wore before way past her time. It was kind of fun, thinking about how she would look on them. She'd never really been one for fashion, but it was great.

She eventually just settled on a picture that caught her eye. It was Winona Ryder, wearing this cool black leather jacket over a plain fitted black shirt, and some denim skirt under some black fishnets. She paired them with some combat boots. It wasn't really extravagant or something, but it seemed comfortable. Her hair was styled very nicely into a classic 80's hairstyle that looked pretty with her below-shoulder length blonde hair.

However, Miguel thought she looked absolutely gorgeous. Hell, he couldn't even take his eyes off her the moment he saw her, even though some girls tried to block his way from her. He really, really liked her. He promised himself that he'd do better and that he'd never let her go. He would always try his best for the girl who was his best friend, family, and lover. She was everything he'd ever dreamed of.

"Where's Tory?" Raegan muttered under her breath as she skated everywhere to find the taller girl who worked around the roller rink.

She left Miguel somewhere so she could find the girl. Other than that, she was getting really queasy from all the interactions with people she didn't know. She wasn't bad with socializing, but she just preferred to be alone most of the time unless she actually liked their presence. Finally, she caught sight of the familiar girl, and she casually rolled towards her. But then she realized who she was talking to, and her smile faded.

"Oh. Hey," Raegan said awkwardly, and Tory glanced between the two sisters with that subtle smirk on her face. However, her attention quickly went to a certain Latino when she noticed him making his way towards them.

"There you are," Miguel said, a cheeky smile on his face. "I wanted to time it out so that the fries are actually crispy."

Raegan didn't say anything and sent a subtle nod to the side, making him turn to the other couple around them. Miguel took off his silly black shades, and his eyes darted between the very familiar faces in front of them. He looked a little surprised, but it washed away before anyone could notice.

"Hey, I didn't recognize you," Miguel smiled. Beside them, Tory suddenly looked annoyed, sending the girl beside her a look she didn't quite understand. "I... I dig the costumes."

     "Thanks," Samantha said uncomfortably.

"Uh, Tory," Miguel glanced at her. Then he gestured to the couple in front of them. "this is Sam and Robby."

"Yeah, we've met already," Tory said, smirking ever so slightly. "Sam and I had a little run-in at the beach club."

"So, how do you three know each other?" Samantha asked, glancing at the three of them.

"Tory's in Cobra Kai," Miguel answered, and Raegan quietly looked at her shoes. Frankly, she didn't know what to do or say, but she was freaking out on the inside.
