CHAPTER SIX
these walls begin to cave in

𝐏erhaps it was a little unfair of her to keep everything on the inside whilst everyone tells her everything about themselves. But growing up, Raegan had always been so closed off to herself. She was barely two months old when her mother dropped her off at the orphanage, and she was seven when she realized they would never come back. Ever since that day, she had never been the same.
She was on her way to the dojo room when Daniel thought it was a good idea to surprise her. The blonde acted on reflex as her father greeted her by the door with a mid-level punch. She did a sweeping low block, parrying his attack with her firm arms. It made Daniel laugh in amazement, letting himself relax when she backed away.
"Dad!" Raegan huffed.
He only ruffled his daughter's hair, smiling rather proudly. "Still amazing as ever."
"Well, I learned from the best," She chuckled.
"That's right," Daniel smirked slightly, knowing he was the one who trained her.
The sound of her phone suddenly interrupted the peaceful atmosphere. She sent him a small smile and excused herself from the room, going straight to the kitchen where her mother was doing what usually does. A notification from her Instagram popped out. She opened it. Only to see some stupid crap about Samantha that Yasmine posted. That girl was really starting to get on her nerves.
Raegan went to the school with her sister but separated when they got inside the hell hole. Fortunately, she still hasn't bumped into any of her friends. More specifically Miguel Diaz. She felt quite relieved because she really didn't know what to say if they ever see each other. Besides, they haven't been talking for a few days now. He was still probably upset.
She entered Chemistry class, and almost immediately, she already wanted to leave. Miguel was there with their sardonic friend, Demetri. She pursed her lips, eyes drawn to her designated table as she walked towards it. But she almost choked on her own spit when Samantha came inside the classroom and suddenly sat next to her. A few students even laughed for some stupid reason.
"Hey, Rae," Samantha greeted with a smile, earning some unwanted eyes on them, including a certain boy that she'd been trying to avoid.
"Uh, hey," She muttered, darting her eyes everywhere on the whiteboard.
"Thanks for the Blow Pop, guys," Samantha said sarcastically. "Really never gets old."
Raegan was quick to send them a resentful glare, and that made them shut up almost immediately. She shifted on her seat, feeling a little satisfied as she breathed quietly.
"It's 'cause she gives blowjobs," Demetri said beside Miguel as he tried to hide his amusement. "Get it? Blow Pop. Blow job."
"Yeah. I get it," Miguel said irritably. "It's just a rumor."
"Hey, everybody. Who let the pigs out? I did, because I ordered the fetal pigs," The teacher entered the classroom, trying to sound humorous, but the students only fell into an awkward silence. He seemed to sense it as he returned to his strict façade. "But seriously, get in your groups."
