CHAPTER NINE
you better watch your back▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
𝐑aegan stood around her own circle along with Miguel, Hawk, and two other guys that she still doesn't know the names of. They were casually stretching their limbs side to side. On this day, everybody was wearing their own clothes instead, and not the karategi that they were supposed to wear back in the dojo. It was a different day, and Kreese had informed them about something that would amp up their fighting skills.
She wore a simple black Adidas sweatpants, and a gray tank top, wearing a black tube underneath it. She paired her whole outfit with a Nike M2k Tekno Black that her father bought her for her birthday. She wore a tank top, but not until Miguel threw his dark purple jacket at her face. She shrugged it off and placed it around her waist.
Honestly, Miguel just didn't like the way the other guys were staring at her. Like, he knows her biceps can be distracting, but they didn't have to stare all day long. He even had to glare at them so they'd stop, and as usual, Raegan was ignorant about the whole thing. She never really cared unless they lay a hand on her.
All of sudden, the bell above the entrance door dinged, and they glanced at the door to see the person they'd been finding all day. Miguel glanced at her and she nodded in acknowledgment. He slipped out from their circle and walked towards the older man that he was actually close with. Unlike John Kreese.
Raegan heard about the loss of his old friend, and she couldn't help but feel sad for him. Even though Daniel fed her brain with all his bad memories with Johnny, she still has some remorse. She felt her heart churning at the thought of losing a friend that you've known for a long time. She kept glancing between the two and the other students inside the dojo, but she eventually decided to approach Aisha.
"Hey," Aisha smiled once she saw her as she stretched her legs. Then her eyes trailed over the jacket around her petite frame, and she made a 'tsk' sound, making Raegan raise her eyebrows at her.
"What?" She asked amusedly.
Aisha snickered. "You're too protected."
"No, I'm not," Raegan groaned. She tugged on the jacket she was wearing. "I like his jacket."
"You like everything about him." Aisha rolled her eyes.
Raegan grinned. "Shut up."
"Everybody get your gis on," Johnny ordered as he came out of his office. Raegan stood up along with the others with confusion etched on their faces. "Training starts in five minutes."
"Gis on?"
"What?"
"Yeah, what's wrong?" Johnny demanded.
"N-N-Nothing is wrong," Miguel said, sounding a little unsure. "I just thought we were going to the woods for a special training today."
Johnny quickly looked at his former Sensei. Then back at them. "What's happening in the woods?"
"I thought it was a good time to separate the men from the boys," Kreese stepped forward. His voice trailed off when he caught the girls' questioning looks. "And the girls, too, I suppose."
"How?" Johnny asked lowly.
"Coyote Creek."
"I'm not sure they're ready for that."
