CHAPTER TWO
treat the young with no accountability

𝐒ummer was supposed to be the most eventful time of the year, but instead, Raegan had woken up the next day doing the same routine all over again. Which usually consisted of doing some warm-ups, showering, changing, eating breakfast, and then brushing her teeth. Since school wasn't starting yet, she had all the time to do whatever she wanted unless her father forbade her to do those things. Which was very likely.

Ever since their argument, they haven't really been on the greatest terms, but she still tried to get along with him. However, these days, she didn't know who to listen to anymore or if she should even listen. The whole karate thing finally got into Daniel's mind, and even she couldn't deny that because it was true. It was all about taking down Cobra Kai now. Whatever it takes.

Sometimes, Raegan wished she could just normally hang out with her friends and join a karate dojo without getting judged because of it. Or without anyone stopping her just because they had a bad history with the said dojo.

Every time she saw no sign of her father, she just assumed that he was already in his old dojo that Mr. Miyagi had once owned. And probably with Robby. Like always. It was a relief, knowing she still couldn't bring herself to show up at his dojo and just in general. It wasn't really appropriate to barge into other dojos when she was a part of another one. Despite everything, she still has her respect intact even though Daniel doesn't know that she was practically part of Cobra Kai now.

She loved her father. She does. But in times like this, she just couldn't side with him. Hell, she didn't want to side with anyone. It just felt so wrong. Besides, she belongs to the opposite karate dojo. Even Daniel sees that, but he was just scared she'd end up the same as him when he tried to join Cobra Kai.

Other than that, everything else felt wrong now. It was like, she didn't belong in her own home anymore. It doesn't even feel like home anymore.

Samantha rarely talks to her anymore. The only person in the family that she actually gets along with now is their mother. The one and only, Amanda LaRusso. She doesn't always hold grudges, but when she does━you wish you didn't upset her. Besides, she just lets them be when she thinks it's fine. After all, Amanda doesn't own them. They were her children, not her puppets. She can't control them, and she most definitely will not try to control them.

Raegan went down the stairs, and trudged towards the kitchen, noticing the deafening silence around the house. She called out her sister and mother, but nobody answered. With a small shrug, she hastily grabbed an apple from the kitchen counter and then proceeded to grab her backpack from the living room couch filled with all the stuff she needed.

Arriving at the dojo, she walked towards the door as she exited her car, a half-eaten apple in her hand and her backpack slung over her shoulder. She opened the doors and saw that a couple of students were already there doing the most random things while they could. She threw the core of the apple to the nearest trash bin, getting the attention of Miguel, who was talking with someone on, from what she could, was Aisha's phone.

"Hey," She casually waved at him, and for a second, Miguel looked nervous.

Raegan thought nothing else of it, but she had her suspicions, and somehow, she convinced herself that it was fine. Besides, she wasn't his girlfriend, and even if she was━she wouldn't force him to tell her who it was on the phone or what they were talking about. It was simply none of her business.
