Warning: Mention of death
I hope to see you soon Almina. Where did I hear that? You pondered, walking back and forth in your room.
"Min! come on, just get ready!" Ryan sighed again, she had been waiting for you for almost 20 minutes. "I host this show! I can't be late, you know?" She said, getting up and resting on her elbows.
"I told you to go." You stop and looked at her.
"And I told you No! this is supposed to have the biggest shows for the gallery and I need my best friend there with me." She shook her head, "Plus, I don't have a driver's license, remember? Now, can you please for the love of God, just get ready?"
"But I heard his voice somewhere, and those eyes-"
"Yeah, yeah you have seen a pair of blue eyes somewhere," She rolled her eyes, getting up and walking to your closet. "Like blue are the rarest eye color or something," She mumbled as she a few outfits from your closet.
"Here, pick one and wear it." She said throwing two dresses on your bed. One was a short black dress with polka dots puffy hands and the other dress was a dark emerald green velvet off shoulders corset dress that ended just above your knees.
You stared at the attires for a few minutes trying to decide which one to wear, making Ryan grow impatient. "You know what no, you are wearing this!" She said pushing you aside and throwing you the black dress.
"Fine" You sighed, rolling your eyes, before going into the bathroom to change. You made sure to finish any base work for your makeup before going out to Ry, who was waiting with her bag of makeup kit outside.
"Ahh no, actually I don't want anything," You stopped her when she tried to paint your face. "I don't want to look like I replaced my makeup with flour. Thank you very much."
"Fine, here, let me just help you." She applied a deep wine color lipstick and some light foundation with a smidge of rose blush on your cheekbones, pulling your hair out of the messy bun and letting your long curly hair fall perfectly around you.
"Come on Mom! We are gonna be late!" You whined, putting your arms on her waist, still allowing her to work her magic.
"There! Done." She huffed, checking your face one last time.
"Beautiful!" She said, tucking a loose string behind your ear.
"God! You have to stop watching so many Rom-Coms." You shoved her hand away, "Alright c'mon, we have to leave! Now!" You got up and gathered your phone and a small velvet black clutch with a golden chain lanyard.
"Aight', please TRY and get along with Sebastian. I know you don't like him-"
"No, I-"
"Yeah, yeah somethin' suspicious 'bout that guy," She mocked your Boston accent, turning to you as you drove to her gallery.
Over the last week, Ryan and Sebastian got closer and closer, hanging out for coffee or brunches, and the worst part was that you had to be there for every meeting, insisted by Sebastian himself, saying that it was nice to get to know his daughter's friend. And with Ryan being the soppy person she is, forced you to come along. Actually, the worst part was how many times they hung out, like how many times can you go out for brunch or coffee in a week?
"Whatever man, just try not to kill him before the day ends." She breathed, opening the door as you pulled up in front of the gallery.
"Fine, just tell him to stay within his limits, and I'll be quiet." You looked at her before getting out.
