Anyway, I will be more active with the uploads now!!!

Without further ado, chapter 28!

"Al!" Ryan yelled walking into the kitchen, hitting her hip against the counter for the fifth time that week. "AH!"

"Careful," You nervously smiled, continuing to bag the icing for the sugar cookies.

"You're stress baking," She shook her head, helping you with the decorations.

You had taken it upon yourself to make New Year-themed cookies and now here you were still in a pair of sweats and messy hair, baking three batches of cookies like a madman.

"Well, it wasn't my fault that the restaurant was overflooded with drunk individuals on New Year's eve," You yell back.

"Calm down, Al, here look, this is the last row," She pointed to the row of little star ones that just needed golden icing.

"Can you?" You pointed to the golden icing bag next to the trey.

"Yeah, no problem," She smiled, grabbing it and making an outline on the cookie, and then filling up the middle, and using a toothpick to even it out. With Ryan's help, you finished the decorating twice as fast, leaving them to chill while you guys went to get ready.

And again, Ryan was first to get ready, "Anyday now!" Ryan yelled, continuously knocking on your door.

You let out a deep breath, smoothing out your lavender dress, it loosely hugged your body, with a leg slit resting just below your hip bone. You wore a pair of black strap heels, a golden watch, and a black dahlia ring to bring the outfit together. You pulled your hair into a bun, sitting high on your head with a few loose strands, with light make-up and a matte sangria lipstick.

You took your black leather mini-bag from the bed, making sure to safely store the little white envelope with the first picture of your baby. You weren't sure if you wanted to tell Sebastian today, but you made a habit of carrying the picture in your bag, no matter where you go, you made sure to bring it with you.

"C'mon, it's a two-hour drive!" She yelled, banging on your door.

"Not if I have anything to do with it," You smirked, opening the door to reveal Ryan in a pine green spaghetti strap dress with a similar leg slit, her hair was neatly parted and ended with a bun on her neck.

"Okay Nascar driver!" She smiled. You two talked about the Evans' stay at your place as you walked to your car, carefully playing the boxes of cookies in the back before starting.

"I'm timing you by the way," Ryan laughed, looking at her watch as you brought the car into the crowded New year's eve traffic of the city.

"Okay," You shrugged, you knew the in's and out's of the city pretty well by now.  "I can make it... Within an hour,"

"And if you don't?"

"You don't have to pay me for the counter."

"Bet."

You quickly sped through the back alleys and one way, avoiding all the main streets where the road was filled with more people than vehicles. Which really helped as you made it out of the city in less than forty-five minutes.

"But the GPS-"

"Ryan! I think I know where I'm going," You groaned, entering the interstate to upstate. "We need the GPS from the exit, not until then. So, can you please turn your mother-in-law off?" Ryan kept bickering about missing a turn or not doing according to the GPS, no matter how much you tried to tell her that your way would decrease the arrival time by half.
