Five hours later, Piper hears the door opening up from their cage, and George sees subject 124 sleeping. Piper lifts her head, looks at the door, and sees another person looking inside the cell. Piper gets away from her sister so that she would not wake her. Piper walks to the door, and George picks up Piper and carries her to the experiment lab. Piper was knocked out when she reached halfway to the experiment room. Piper wakes up immediately, looks around, and sees a lot of white coats around her.

"Well done, George," chuckled the lead scientist, looking at the cat on the table.

George nods and waits at the table for his following command. The lead scientist nods to his companions that it is time to experiment. Everybody nodded, and then they held down Piper so she did not escape their grasp. The needle was in place, and two scientists strapped her in so she did not escape the experiment room. The humans locked Piper on a table in a separate room so that they could test the animal with experiments. All white coats filed out of the room, and the last one closed the door.

"Okay, let's start the experiment," replied the lead scientist.

On Piper was an IV in the back of Piper's neck, and she had not yet felt anything injected into her. Piper looked around and wondered what was going to happen. Until some shocks and pains started coming into Piper's body, Piper felt the worst pain in the world and cried out. Piper howled in pain, and she closed her eyes and mouth and felt so much hurt coming into her body. Until Piper opened her mouth again and screamed in pain, and the lead scientist smiled and nodded that it was completed. The machine turned off, and foam came out of Piper's mouth. The lead scientist and three other white coats entered the room after the engine was turned off.

"How are you feeling, subject 123," asked the lead scientist.

Piper growled at the lead scientist, and the white foam was gone from her mouth, and she coughed a little.

"I am feeling fine," answered Piper with a growl.

The lead scientist smiled. "Well, the experiment was a success."

Then the lead scientist looks at George, who says it is time to take Piper back to her cage. The three white coats removed the needles, and Piper was weak from the experiments and tests they did on her. George picks up Piper and takes her away. Piper blacked out from exhaustion and felt fur right next to her a couple of minutes later. Piper wakes up and wonders who is right next to her.

"Sister are you okay," replied Amanda in wonder, and she was lying next to Piper.

"I am fine, Amanda, just light-headed," replied Piper with a sigh.

"I was waiting for you to wake up," meowed Amanda with a smile.

Piper sighed a little. "Well, I am okay now."

"Great," said Amanda, and then she looked down at her sister and asked, "What should we do now?"

Piper looked around and shrugged her shoulders. "I have no idea what we should do."

"Maybe we should wait for Amelia," suggested Amanda.

"Sure, and I just noticed. We could speak human," said Piper, looking at Amanda, who was now looking at her.

Amanda thought for a second, then said. "Now that I thought about it. I think you are correct because I went to the lab for experiments. Those experiments that they did were speaking to humans and understanding them."

Piper sat up, sighed, and closed her eyes so that she could clear her head from everything. She looked around, wondering what both of them could do at this time. Amanda was about to reply when she heard a door open near their cage. Amanda and Piper turned their heads to the door, which opened up.

"Amelia," purred Amanda with a smile.

"Hi, kitty," replied Amelia with a smile.

She looks at the black female cat, and she smiles. Piper smiles and walks over to Amelia, and so does Amanda.

"How are you guys," asked Amelia.

"We are both okay," answered Amanda.

"That sounds great." Amelia looks at both cats and continues, "I could not come up with any names for you guys."

"Let's work together so we can come up with our new names because subject 123 and subject 124 are not going to work," replied Piper.

Amanda looks at Piper, who says it would be the best idea to come up with new names for the world they are in.

"Good idea," said Amanda, and she sat down and tried to come up with a good name for the both of them.

Amelia looks at the white cat with golden markings and notices that she looks like a Christmas cat but with golden markings on her paws, tail, and chest. Some parts of her body are light gray, from her stomach, part of her chest, and her shoulders. Amelia also realizes that the white-golden marking she-cat has blue eyes.

"I am thinking of calling you Winter," suggested Amelia.

Amanda looks at Amelia and nods at her new name. Winter looks at Piper, and Piper looks at her and nods that it is time for her character.

"Let's think of your name, sister," smiled Winter.

Piper flinched, and she looked at Amelia, and Amelia's eyes were wide.

"Wait a minute, you guys are sisters," questioned Amelia looking at Winter and Piper.

Piper and Winter looked at Amelia, and they both nodded.

"That explains why you both are sleeping with each other, and I noticed that subject 123 licks you on the head all of the time," replied Amelia.

Piper sighed lightly and rolled her eyes. Winter looks at her sister and notices that she is already getting a little annoyed. Winter looks at the markings and sees that her sister has a dark gray underbelly, silver markings, black fur, and red eyes.

"I think I should call you, Midnight," suggested Winter with a mew.

Piper looks at her sister and nods at her new name. Winter smiles, and so does Piper.

"I just noticed that Jared has not seen your guy's eyes because he never pays attention. Both of you are very different in eye color, and he might try to break you up," Amelia said quietly.

"Why are you whispering," asked Winter looking at Amelia.

"I don't want Jared to hear me because he might come by and see your guy's eye color," whispered Amelia.

"Oh," said Winter, and she looked at Midnight and shook her head.

Winter sighs and hears the door close behind them. Winter turns to the door and sees that Amelia is left with food. Winter sniffs the air and twitches her nose because the food smells bad. Midnight twitches her nose, too, and wonders where the smell is coming from. Midnight watches her sister go to the disgusting food bowl close to the entrance of their cage. Midnight cocks her head and wonders what her sister is doing. Winter takes a bit into the food and looks at her sister.

"I don't want to starve to death," mewed Winter.

Midnight sighs and walks over to share with her sister, and they both ignore the scent and taste of the food. Midnight walks to the corner of the room and lies down. Winter follows her sister and does the same thing.
