Chapter 1

"Hello daughter", I was busy checking on my sketches, when my father called. I have a bad feeling about it.

"Hello po papa...", I answered, habang hawak hawak ang aking cellphone sa isang kamay at ang isa naman ay naka-tungkod sa lamesa ko.

"I called, because Merliana called, I do believe you know why she did call me right?", I sighed and looked, at the tall and wide glass window infront of me, showing me a great night view of the city, the traffic on the street made the view more interesting dahil sa mga mga ilaw na mula a mga sasakyan.

Im screwed.

"Yes po, papa, I'm sorry, I will assure you that it will never happen again...", I said at tumayo ng matuwid habang hinihilot ang aking sentido habang inaalala ang iskandalo na nangyare sa labas ng building namin kaninang umaga.

"Don't just promise me anything, daughter, but make sure of it! You're a woman, Ysrielle! Tinalo mo pa ang isang babaero! Kung magpalit ka ng lalaki mo ay kada linggo!", I tightly closed my eyes habang nakikinig sa sermon ni papa.

The next time I see those two assholes, I will make sure that I won't ever see their faces again!

"I am sorry papa...",I said and bit my lip, praying that my father would forgive me, for the third time of the month.

I heard him sigh, and I imagine his eyes tightly closed while he's head is tilted upwards, as he feels tired of dealing with the shits of his own daughter that she has putted him through.

"Ysrielle, you're a grown woman, and not a grown man, you're my successor hija, and I don't want you to have a bad image when the time comes for you to be the one handling our business... Matanda na ako Ysrielle, and your mother too, gusto na ng mama mo na mag-asawa ka nang magkaroon na siya ng mga apo... Pero mukhang mahirap iyong mangyari dahil ni kahit isang lalaki ay hindi mo sineryoso!", I rolled my eyes as I heard my father sigh once again.

I love my parents, I really do, but I haven't found the one yet! And I am still young! Im only 26 for pete's sake, I'll worry about marriage and relationships when I hit my thirties.

"The scandal that those two men made, has somehow affected your image hija... I can see so many articles about it already, and I am afraid that if this continues, then the shareholders, and other viable investors might find the next successor to be irresponsible, dahil kahit ang simpleng affair ay hindi manlang maayos-ayos, at nakarating pa talaga ito sa media...", nanlaki agad ang mata ko sa sinabi ni papa.

"I can't believe that they already made an issue about this! At parang kaninang umaga lang nagganap ang pag-aaway!", I said angrily.

"Yun nga, hija, and that is why, I have decided to give you a vacation muna, a 1 month vacation in a resort in Maldives, you will stay there until this issue fades...", nanlaki ulit ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya.

Vacation?! In Maldives?! 1MONTH?!

"But papa!", pawang mababaliw na ako sa mga nangyayare sa akin. Why is that when men womanize and changes their women the society doesnt seem to mind at all, BUT WHEN A WOMAN DOES IT ITS ACTUALLY DISAPPOINTING?!
