Eric's POV
After bringing Madison home from the hospital, I realize it's our anniversary. I had some people to put something special together for her that she can stay at home and do.
Right now she's sleeping. The pain meds the doctor prescribed has her knock out after taking them.
I have the kids with me, so they don't disturb her. Sai and Kai are playing with teddy bears, Amar and Hope are playing with blocks, Marcus and Eric are giggling at Bluey with their big brothers.
I love all their big headed asses.
I love their mother as well.
I'm having everything planned at home outside. I have a special guest to come sing for us as well. Her parents are helping with the desserts while my parents are watching the kids.
I cooked the food that we'll be eating. I hope she loves what's planned for today, since it's recommend to stay home for some weeks to recover.
Kayden screams "Dad! Sai won't stop hitting Kai and vice versa! They're lighting each other up."
I chuckle and see what the commotion is about. Both of them stop and start giggling when I step in the room.
"Hug each other." I say. Both of them look sad, but hug regardless.
Hope is stacking block while Amar knocks them down. Eric's sitting quietly with a marker and paper, scribbling.
"Okay Eric, I think everything will be done in a hour. Did you call the guest?" My mom says.
"Yep. He should be here soon with all his equipment." Just them the doorbell rings. I get it.
Teddy Swims walks inside, so I help him get set up. Maddie will forever be the one for me.
I set the wine out and drinks. Her dad smiles at me. "She better let you wear her ass out tonight." He says as I laugh.
"Always trying to get somebody laid," Monica says. "Go check on the kids."
"Yep. I'm trying to get laid myself."
"Boy, please."
"You are well aware I'm not a boy, but I'mma remind you."
Both of them walk off to a unknown location around the house. I laugh and do does Teddy.
"Looks like I'm good to go. Thanks for the help."
"No problem." I give him a tour of the house and he meets the parents.
The doorbell rings again. The second guest has arrived. Josh Turner!
I send Jr to check on Maddie.
"Abort! Abort! Abort!" He runs down the stairs. "She's coming!
Just in time!
I set the remaining flowers out. Then I go get her. Sprinkling rose petals on the floor as I go.
She's in the shower so I leave a note.
Madison's POV
I get out the shower and put some clothes on. There's a note on the bed from Eric and rose petals in a heart below it. Then there's a trail.
Follow the roses or I'll come get you myself.
I smile, knowing he means that. I'm following the trail when my mom comes up to me.
"Hey Mommy!"
"Hey. Keep your ass moving." She says, so I continue walking. My eyes widen when I see the layout before me. Eric's standing at the other end of the table with Jr and Kayden. All three of them are smiling like goofballs.
