Danielle's POV
No one's ever really helped me celebrate my birthday, so I won't be expecting anything different today.
"Danielle are you getting ready for school?" I hear dad ask.
"Do I have to go?"
"Yep!" He opens the door. "Happy birthday!!!!"
"Thanks."
"You're not excited. Why Danni?"
Should I tell him?
"No one ever cared about my birthday. Just ignore me."
Dad hugs me. "Well dad cares!"
I smile.
"Good. A smile. I'm sure Jr and Kayden won't ignore you."
"Thanks dad." He pins money on my shirt before leaving. It's $100!
Mom comes in my room. "Happy birthday, Dani!"
I hug her. She gives me another $100.
"You go to school and have fun with Jr and Kayden."
They're really the only reason I like school now. They're goofs.
......
"Happy birthday Dani." Jr and Kayden say, handing me gifts and $5 each.
"Isn't this y'all snack money."
"It was, but we're good. Go crazy kid." They say at the same time. I hug them.
"Thanks guys. You're the best!"
Class is starting, so they scurry to their seats.
"Okay class, first, good morning. Second someone has a birthday today."
Everyone starts looking around except Jr and Kayden.
"It's Danielle's birthday!!!!"
Only Jr and Kayden jump around and clap for me, but I appreciate it.
The teacher tells them to sit down harshly, but after they sit down, I look at them and smile mouthing 'thanks guys'.
They give me a thumbs up.
Class goes by quickly and it's time for recess.
"Did you see that mustache on her face after telling us to sit down?" Jr ask. Kayden and I laugh.
They hug me and all us get on the swings.
"HAPPY Birthday Danielle!" Jr and bs Kayden sing to me. These two are something else.
When it's nap time, Jr and I stay awake while Kayden goes to sleep.

Everyone wakes up and Jr and Kayden's mom comes to get them.
"We'll take Danielle too." TT Madison says.
"But she's not your child." The teacher said.
"And she ain't your child either, so we'll be taking her now." Wow!
The teacher looks at me with disgust, but I just smile at her ugly, mustache ass. I see the mustache now.
Jr and Kayden break the silence by laughing, and I can't help but laugh too. TT Madison takes all of hands and walk to the car.
"Oh" TT says, "might want to shave that mustache young man!"
"Damn!" Jr and Kayden burst into laughter.
TT Madison looks at them and smiles. "Don't ever raise your manly voice at my kids ma'am. Thank you."
She drives off and look at the teacher from the window. All of us are laughing.
"Wait," Kayden says. "Where my crew at?"
"They're at your grandparents house right now with your dad."
"Oh."
"HAPPY birthday Dani!!!!!" TT Madison shouts. I giggle.
"Thanks."
"We're going to you're house later, okay?"
"Uh huh?"
"But for now, go run around with Jr and Kayden."
