vi. July 5th, California, 2014
AN AWKWARD FEELING had come up and Parker started hesitating over a very simple and extremely stupid situation.
He had no idea how to greet Fiona.
After the kissing and hugging the night before, it felt a little awkward when Fiona entered the bar next morning. Parker had immediately rushed into the employees room and wasn't out since.
SEAN : What are you doing here man? We need an extra hand.
PARKER : Yeah. I am coming, you go ahead.
When Parker peeked his head out of the room, Fiona was sitting at the far corner, gazing at the sea. Her hair was tied up in a messy bun, her hair looking like a big mess, yet she looked pretty.
PARKER : Hey Fi.
The nickname slipped out of his mouth and he couldn't take it back. He wanted to call her that for awhile.
PARKER : Ona.
FIONA : (laughing) Hey Parker.
PARKER : Should I bring a sprite for you?
FIONA : It's okay, Finn's getting me one.
PARKER : (frown on his face) Oh.
FIONA : . . .
PARKER : . . .
The awkward silence struck again and Fiona was actually smiling at Parker's discomfort.
FIONA : So maybe we should, uh, probably go on a real date after yesterday don't you think?
PARKER : Yes. I was going to uh, ask you to uh,
FIONA : Sure you were.
PARKER : No really!
FIONA : (laughing) So when do you want to go on that date?
PARKER : Your wish, I mean, I want to set the date up and all.
FIONA : Tomorrow maybe?
PARKER : Perfect.

DIANE : The beach?
PARKER : We go to the beach everyday mom.
DIANE : No, I mean, dinner out on the beach.
PARKER : No.
DIANE : A restaurant?
PARKER : Too common.
DIANE : A romantic ride on a cruise?
PARKER : Not enough money.
DIANE : Movies?
PARKER : Boring. And i won't get to talk to her much during.
DIANE : You really need to decide soon, it's tomorrow right? You don't have to be so picky and choosy.
PARKER : It's our first date mom.
DIANE : Well, on our first date, you father took me to the movies and then to a restaurant. It's not really where you go, it's about how you treat her. Your charms are the only thing really.
Parker had brought his mother to the doctor and were waiting for the doctor to arrive since they were a tad bit early. Parker's mom was on a nursing bed, her hands entwined with Parker's.
