Jade's POV:

"Where are we going?" Why is he asking as if he gives a shit? He knows he doesn't.

"I told you, we have some Soc's to rob." I groan as he begins to ask another question.

"Sorry, ms bitch. I thought you meant we were going to wait for them to jump us and then make their plan backfire." I could basically hear the eye roll after his sentence.

"No, dumbass. Who in their right mind would jump you; Dallas Winston?"

"You'd be surprised." I heard his lighter strick followed by the smell of nicotine in the air.

We were in my car on the Westside. I decided it'd be amazing to go rob my dad's house.

Think about it. I know everything that's valuable to him and I know where everything is. Plus, I know that he's working and Bob is with his friends.

We can get in and get out within 10 minutes. Fool proof plan.

I parked down the street from his house at some abandoned gas station. "Where are we, Sheldon?"

"Do you know how to shut the hell up, Winston?"

"I know how. But last time we were on the westside, I had to call Darry to bail me out of the fucking cooler."

"Well, You won't have to now. If we get caught; haul ass" I shrugged as I threw my cigarette on the ground and stomped on it before walking to my dads house.

Dallas loud footsteps sounded behind me as we walked into the big house. "Take anything you can carry. Shove it in the pillowcase I gave you." He nodded and we got to work.

I picked up multiple priceless vases and antiques, as did Dallas. We walked around for about 15 minutes before we heard a loud booming voice.

"Put your hands up!! Who's here?!" Me and Dal looked at each other before runnin out the back door and into the woods.

We hauled ass with footsteps sounding behind us. The very cold weather causing me to be even colder as I ran quickly, my face freezing and my throat hurting from inhaling suck coolness.

I looked behind me to see that we lost the cops who were chasing us. I turned back around with a long sigh before tumbling over a tree root, right into a freezing cold lake.

I dropped the pillowcase oj the ground before makin contact with the water, careful not to brake any items to the best of my ability.

It took a few minutes for me to make my way back to where Dal and my bag was but I did it and when I did so; I was freezing.

Hypothermia was something I was basically guaranteed but I don't care now. Me and Dal grabbed out stuff and took a detour to where my car was before climbing in and driving back to the Eastside.

Dal was driving as I shivered in my seat. I took my clothes off and put on warmer ones but that didn't help much.

Dally's POV:

"Where are we going, Winston" Jade's teeth chattered as she spoke. We went to a pawn shop on this side of town. We used wigs and fake names. She got about $400 while I got about $500.

"We're going to the Curtis house. I would take you to a hospital but I know you don't like hospitals. So, I'll just let Darry help you."

"No. Don't burden this onto Darryl. He's already got his brothers to worry about and Soda don't like me."

"First of all, I may be an ashore but I'm not lettin' you die on me. Second, Darry loves you and would be fine with helping you on this fine Sunday evening. Third, who cares what Soda says? He's just mad that a girl knocked him out."

She rolled her eyes as she laid back in the passenger seat. It's 2pm and I know we have another half an hour before we get there and I just hope she survives till then.

It doesn't take long to die of hypothermia if not taken care of properly. And I guarantee, being in a freezing car with no heat is not 'taken care of properly'.

°°°

It's been a few hours since we got to the Curtis house. Darry helped Jade get warmer so hopefully her hypothermia will pass sometime soon.

We all sat watching an episode of Micky Mouse. The phone ringing became the only noise throughout the unusually silent house.

Darryl stood from his armchair and answered the landline.

Darryl's POV:

"Hello?"

"Hello. This is WestSide hospital. Owned by Mr. Sheldon. Do you happen to know anyone by the name of Jade?"

"Yes. Could I take a message?"

After that question the voice on the phone changed from a nice females voice to a mans hatred filled voice.

"Yeah, you can. Tell her that she now only has 2 weeks and the cost has been rose to $2,000. And that's what she gets for robbing my home."

The line went silent after that and the dial tone caused me to put the phone back in its place with my jaw dropped.
