Jade's POV

"Sheldon, you have a visitor."

The officer opened the cell and I walked out with him. He put cuffs on me before taking me to the visitation desk and then uncuffing me.

I sat face to face with Dallas, a dull look on mine and an irritated look on his. He also has a bruised jaw.

"What are you doing here Dallas?"

"I needed to see you."

"Clearly. Dal, I'm not getting out anytime soon. The trial isn't for another 5 months. Go off and have fun."

"I'm not gonna have fun until I know you're safe, Jade. I'm holding up my promise, I'm not drinking or anything until you're also allowed to."

"Dal, I'm fine. You can go off with other girls, drink, I don't really care. I'm not free to lecture you or anything anymore. Go live. All I ask is that you watch over Kasha and help keep her sane."

"I'm not doing it. Not when I never know if you or your the baby is safe. I'll help the gang watch Kasha, of course, but as long as we're steady and as long as that child is still inside of you, I'm gonna hold up our deal. I'm gonna work and I'm gonna make a life for all of us when you get out."

"Dal-"

"No. That's final, Jade. I'm gonna come here every week. I'm gonna check on you and the baby. I'm gonna save up for us. And that's the end of it. I've never been fucking happy, Jade. And I'll be damned if we don't have our happy ending."

I let out a deep sigh before simply nodding. Being honest, In the mere 24 hours here, I've given up. On everything. Happiness, love, freedom. Everything.

Nothing is in my control. Dal could go off and fuck another broad and I wouldn't be able to do anything. Anything could happen in here, and I'd have no control over it. It's a foreign feeling, one that I hate. But I have to accept it.

"I have no control over anything. The infirmary nurse is gonna give me a check up once a week but other than that, I can't do anything. I have no control over my pregnancy, finance, nothing. All for an assumption. If there's ever a time you decide to walk out or not go steady anymore, let me know."

We sit in silence for a few minutes before the officer who brought me here informed us that there's another visitor for me.

"Send 'em in. We can visit her together. I'm not leavin anytime soon."

I'm walked my father. He sat directly beside Dallas. Dally's face turned a deep shade of red before he softly stood up. He just stood for a second before he threw countless punches at my father.

Dal had him pushed across the desk as I just sat there and watched. My dad grabbed the collar of my jumpsuit and pulled me so my face was blocking his and Dal accidentally hit me causing blood to gush from my nose.

I decided not to throw any hits. That's just more that they could hold in court. Cops gathered in the room and began pulling Dallas away from Sheldon and 2 of them grabbed me and the ok me to the opposite side of the room.

I stood shocked while one of the officers had pulled out a handkerchief and held it under my nose for me.

I suddenly burst into a manic laughter as tears streamed down my face. I putt back to the wall and slid down as I continued to laugh and cry.

They had Dal cuffed on the other side of the room. He just stared at me sadly. They had to tend to my dad with a first aid kit before the were allowed to take me and Dallas to a cell.

The room was silent other than a singular paramedic asking for certain tools.

"I have no clue what's going on anymore." Blood continued pouring out of my nose while I laughed and cried.

"Get her to the infirmary, officer Brown. Officer Willis, take him to the warden for a cell and jumpsuit."

Both officers nodded before guiding us out. We turned down two separate hallways and made eye contact before we could no longer see each other.

I stopped laughing and crying, blood still left my nose, just not as harsh as before. My laughter and tears were replaced with red puffy eyes and a dull look on my face.

I really have no clue what I'm doing anymore.

The nurse fixed me up before Brown escorted me back to my cell. Lucky for me, my cellmate was discharged today so I no longer have to deal with him.

"You're lucky this is the only available cell, Winston. We never usually put people together if they know each other."

I looked up at the officer and saw Dallas standing right beside him with a cocky smirk on his face before Willis opened the cell and shoved Dally inside.

"Well hello, cell mate" he gave me a charming wink before climbing up the latter to the top bunk.

_______
