Jade's POV

It's been 2 months now, I'm 6 months along. The trial takes place tomorrow and I'm currently sitting at the edge of my bed thinking about it.

"Sheldon, you need to have your 6 month check up before the trial tomorrow. Be up and dressed by 7am."

I nod t officer Brown and when I do I feel a sharp agonizing pain in my lower stomach. Water dripped down my leg.

"We have to get you to the infirmary!"

Brown helped me up as my head began to spin and I stumbled over my own feet. We made it to the infirmary and they immediately took me to the OR.

"It's too early. I'm only 6 months."

"Looks like you're getting a Premature child, Ms Sheldon."

"Please call my boyfriend. Please, he needs to be here."

"Ms Sheldon, unless he's your husband, I'm not allowed to call anyone. He'll have to wait until the trial tomorrow."

I nod sadly at her words before all I saw was black.

I wake up from a deep slumber to see a scar running across my stomach and Officer Brown holding a beautiful baby girl.

"Is that my baby?"

"Yes, Jade. You just had her an hour ago. The birth certificate is filled out except the name part.

"Bree Dahlia Winston." The nurse who was standing by the door nodded and asked me how to spell it before giving me 3 copies of the certificate.

"We have to get you to the court room. Get up and put your jumpsuit back on."

"Ms Sheldon, please only wear a sports bra. You still have a scar from the C-section and I don't want you ripping the stitches with the shirt."

I nodded and Brown took the baby and put her in the nursery. The nurse is gonna bring him to the court.

I don't know much about court bc I've never been to a trial like this so bare with me

Everyone in the courtroom was sworn to honesty. Everyone had to be in case they were called up.

"What do you plead, Ms Sheldon?"

"Not guilty, your honor."

"Why?"

"Because I didn't do it?"

"Do you have an alibi?"

"Kasha, my 8 year old sister. And Dallas Winston."

"You don't seem to have very good alibi's."

"I was to busy raising my sister and going to the hospital with Dallas."

"Why did you go to the hospital?"

"I had been sick for 2 weeks straight. He was concerned and dragged me to the hospital."

"Where were you at during the time of Bob's death, Ms Sheldon?" My fathers lawyer, Mr Johnson, asks.

"Depends, when did he die?"

"5 and a half months ago, February 19th, 1986. 10:43pm."

"I was doing the devils tango with Dallas Winston?"

"Proof?"

"Do you want a fucking sex tape, Johnson? Are you so perverted that you want proof of me having sex? You can ask ole' Buck."

"Buck and Mr Winston, please stand to confirm" the judge said. Both of them stood and gave a simple nod of his head. Dallas looked upset about something.

"My father called me and claimed I had killed bob but I was really just at Bucks bar, having a few drinks. A week later or so, he called and told me to find out who did it or else I'll see him in court. Then a few days later, a cop showed at my apartment to take me to jail until the court date. I called Darryl Curtis to pick up my little sister and take care of her until I get out."

"Darryl Curtis, please stand to confirm."

Darry stood and gave a simple nod before sitting back down. That's how anyone who isn't at the stand answers a yes or no question. A simple nod.

"Why haven't you been putting up a fight in jail, Ms Sheldon? It's not like you to let people get away with some of the things they've said to you?"

"Your honor, if I were really guilty and I knew that I'll be in jail longer, I would have fought back. I didn't want anymore of a reason to be in jail than this false accusation."

"why should we believe a greaser slut over a very successful soc? Who is more trustworthy? A greasy bag of filth? Or a smart businessman?"

"Mr Johnson, that was a highly inappropriate question!"

"I've always said the justice system sucks. And this is exactly why. Just because my father is a soc, you believe him? Imagine if you were in my position, Johnson. How would you feel if someone said this to you? How would you feel if you were my sister or boyfriend or friends? Sitting in the crowd just wondering if I'm ever coming home? You are being highly unfair and inappropriate."

"That is enough! Jury, you have 5 minutes to make a unanimous decision. Is Jade Sheldon guilty or not guilty."

The courtroom was slightly silent for the next 5 minutes. The only sounds being quiet chatter of the jury and crowd.

"We've made a decision your honor!"

"What will it be?"

"We find Jade Sheldon, guilty, your honor."

I looked up and saw Dallas face fill wit rage as he ran out of the courtroom. "Fuck." I mumble under my breath.

"Why?"

"Just like Johnson said, sir. Why believe a greaser over a successful Soc? There's no reason. There has never been a case of a greaser being bug correct and there won't be one now."

"I disagree. And as judge, I overrule. Jade Sheldon, you are sentenced to be released from incarceration. You are not guilty."

The whole gang jumps up from their seats and we all celebrate. The nurse hands me my baby before we all leave and go to Darry's truck.

Now to just Find Dallas.
