Nadiné POV ~
3:24pm

Me and James were both asleep when we here sudden banging coming from downstairs. I instantly wake up and so does James.

"Wtf is going on?" James mumbles rubbing his eyes.

My parents come rushing in alongside Ms Loretta.

Dante must have been with Terrence again considering he was no where to be found.

"You guys need to get up! The FBI is here." My mom shouts as she drags me out of bed.

I snatch my robe as we all rush down the stairs. Everything was happening so fast I didn't even have time to think.

I open the door and find Detective Walters and a whole team of officers behind her.

Before I could even say anything , they all come barging in and completely raid the house, almost as if they were looking for something.

"What the hell is going on?" I shout completely confused.

"Ma'am we have a warrant to search the premises." She says holding up the piece of paper.

"Lemme see that." My father says snatching it out of her hand.

"What for?" James asks irritated.

"We went through Mr Dante's phone records and we noticed a specific call that was taken on the night of Aaliyah's death between him and Terrence Carter." She explained showing us the records.

I look at my father and I could tell he was pissed.

"And what was the phone call about?" Ms Loretta asks coming closer.

The detective gave us all this look. I instantly knew something was wrong.

"Umm we listened to the call and well Dante is basically telling Terrence in detail of how he killed Aaliyah because she overheard a conversation earlier that day about an offer that Dante was given by Terrence. She threatened to come and tell you all if he went through it. Which is why he killed her." She continued stuttering half way.

Ms Loretta stood there in shock. I overheard my parents gasp.

"What was the offer about exactly?" James asked completely shocked.

"It seems like they were both plot against you. Dante wanted your club and Terrence wanted to get back at his brother Mr Rashaad. That was their whole plan. The only reason why we are here is because the weapon used was nowhere to be found. And we have a reason to believe it may still be here." She concluded.

I noticed James ball up his fists. I had never seen him so mad before.

"That motherfucka betrayed me." He mumbled under his breath.

"MA'AM WE FOUND IT!" One of the officers shouted from the balcony holding up a plastic bag with a pistol in it.

"Oh my god." I mumbled.

"This is what we needed to prove all of this. Now we just need to send this to the lab to test the fingerprints." She said as all the officers made their way out of the house.

"So what do we do now?" I asked.

"Just wait. And stay away from both of them. You never know what they could be planning next." She said before leaving.

"I can't believe this." Ms Loretta whispers going back up the stairs.

"I told you he should never have step foot in my house." My father says to my mom.

"Come on honey let's go back to bed." My mom replied as they both make their way back to their room, leaving just me and James.

"I'm sorry." I said facing James.

"My best friend, the nigga I grew up with my entire life, did this shit? He turned on me after everything I did for him. I'm gonna kill that nigga even if it's the last thing I do." James says walking towards the door.

"JAMES NO! Don't do this I'm begging you. Think about me and our son. Would you have wanted this for him?" I shout as I watched him walk to the car, a tear running down my face.

He stops and turns around, looking at me. He had tears running down his face as he stood there. I could tell he was hurt. His best friend betrayed him.

I ran over to him and pulled him into a hug. I gave him comfort as he held onto me tight.

After awhile we both went inside and back to our room.

I layed on his chest as I tried to get some sleep. I could tell James was still awake but I let him be with his thoughts.

I couldn't wait for all of this to be over. So me and James could both be happy with our soon to be son.
