Halle Henry

I had no idea the red carpet interview was going to be with someone from Roses and Thorns, and now I'm terrified. I mean, I do read absolutely every magazine they publish, but holy shit do they twist things. It's what they're known for. I have no media training, I don't know how to deal with this stuff so I'm hoping to follow Harry's lead as much as I can.

"First of all, a massive, massive congratulations to you both. Between you, you're walking out of here with five awards and Halle, you have even made history as the first woman to win best rock single." The man says, holding the mic over to me.

"Yeah, it's incredible and I'm very grateful, I can't quite believe it." I chuckle.

Thankfully, we don't bring the awards with us to the after party, because if I was holding my two right now I wouldn't be able to hide my hands behind my back to disguise my nervousness.

"Harry, you won single of the year which is amazing. You won two others too, how does it feel to have won three awards in the same night?"

"Great. Yeah it's great, I erm, I'm very lucky to be in this position and I think Halle and I are both lucky to be with such a great label that gives us the opportunity to win these awards." Harry says, looking down at me, therefore I nod in agreement.

"Talking about labels, I've got to ask. Apparently Sunset doesn't allow you to have a relationship with someone signed or previously signed to the same label, is that true?" Thankfully, he held the mic to Harry for that one.

"It is true." Harry nods. "But that isn't a problem for Halle and I, right?"

The man held the mic to me, and I panicked. "Yeah, absolutely."

"You guys are best friends right? How did that come about?" Asks the man.

"Halle and I got on really well on tour and it's a lonely industry when you're a solo artist, so it's good to have each other and yeah, she's a good friend." Harry smiles, putting an arm round my shoulder.

Friend.

I'm not saying that Harry and I are anything more or anything less, but I swear less than half an hour ago, I was going to kiss him, and he was going to kiss me. Tonight, things between us have felt so different and I did think perhaps we might have kissed if we weren't interrupted.

In hindsight, I was wrong, because that is in fact not allowed. It goes against the contract in literally every way possible and I don't really want to be pissing the label off in any way after everything they've done for me since I signed to them.

"Well, I'm grateful for your time, but I'm sure there are places you'd rather be, so thank you for chatting to me and once again, congratulations." The man smiled, and immediately I thanked him and wished him a good night, Harry however stormed off in a huff.

This red carpet isn't for photos thankfully, it's just interviews and Harry and I only had the one thanks to the magic Sam and Mick worked so we could go out straight after. Everyone is at a smaller place where just our label will be celebrating, everyone has made their way there bar Harry and I because we need to change first.

Once we got off the red carpet, we were guided to our dressing rooms and to be honest, I'd easily have gone out in this dress to the after party. This is my third outfit change of the evening and it's not very easy to jump out of this dress after a few glasses of champagne.

Thinking back to that interview, there isn't really anything that can be misinterpreted there, so hopefully tomorrow's article won't completely twist what we said into something it isn't.
