Ch. 11 What happened that night is an accident

Far away at Olympic National Park near Forks, Washington, resides a gorgeous mansion own by a coven of Vampires called the Cullen Family. Inside, a twenty-six-year-old 5'4" female Vampire with medium-length wavy caramel hair and friendly golden-honey eyes named Esme Cullen is swiftly lifting a couch with one hand while vacuuming the carpet with the other.

" I am going to beat you, Jazz!" Esme's adopted son, a twenty-year-old 6'1" male Vampire with curly dark brown hair and mischievous golden-honey eyes, named Emmett Cullen proudly shouted.

Emmett widely smiled while playing the new video game that he bought called Mario Kart: Double Dash with his adopted brother.

The adopted brother in question is Jasper Hale, a nineteen-year-old 5'9" male Vampire with medium-length unruly honey-blond hair and amused golden-honey eyes.

" You chose Bowser, Em. He is the slowest of the bunch. It's Princess Peach you have to worry about," Jasper smirks as he pressed a green button, and a blue flying shell hits Bowser from behind, causing Princess Peach to drive ahead and win first place.

" Fuck you!!" Emmett dramatically cursed.

" Language!" Esme scolds Emmett while gently putting the couch on the floor.

" Sorry, Ma," Emmett apologized.

" Ah!" A feminine scream grabbed everyone's attention, causing Jasper to stand up from the floor, and he turns to see his wife and soul mate, a nineteen-year-old 5'5" female Vampire with short pixie-cut black hair and concerned golden-honey eyes named Alice Cullen.

At the sound of Alice's scream, an eighteen-year-old 5'4" female Vampire with long wavy blonde hair and worried golden-honey eyes named Rosalie Hale enter the living room from the garage. She did not seem to care that her clothes got dirty with oil stains since she was fixing her car before she heard Alice scream.

At the same time as Rosalie, a twenty-three-year-old 5'11" male Vampire with collar-length blond hair and golden-honey eyes named Carlisle Hale enter the living room from his office upstairs. He turned his gaze to Alice, and he stares at his adopted daughter with a concerned look.

" Alice. What's wrong?" Jasper asked, looking and sounding concerned.

" Where is Edward?" Alice softly asked while looking at everyone with a nervous gaze.

Rosalie annoyingly rolled her golden-honey eyes at Alice.

" He's not home, Alice. He probably went to check up on his human girlfriend since you don't remember she nearly died because of a Vampire," Rosalie bitterly speaks.

Alice frowned at Rosalie's voice whenever the other female mentions Edward's human girlfriend, Bella Swan, with bitterness.

" Rose! Why do you hate Bella so much? She will soon be a part of our family because she is Edward's mate," Alice firmly speaks to Rosalie.

" I don't hate Bella. I find her decision of wanting to be a Vampire so irritating. She is throwing her human life away to be with Edward," Rosalie sternly speaks to Alice.

" Bella isn't throwing her human life away! She wants to be with Edward because she loves him! And they are soul mates," Alice defensively speaks to Rosalie.

" I doubt that she and Edward are mates, Alice," Rosalie annoyingly rolled her golden-honey eyes.

" You are only jealous because Edward never paid attention to your beauty!" Alice argued.

" Are you stupid?! I am not jealous of Bella! I don't care if Edward never noticed me. I have Emmett anyways," Rosalie snaps.

" I am looking after Bella because Edward looks at her the same way that Emmett when he was a New Born, looked at that female human hiker after he snapped her neck and drank her blood since her blood drove him crazy," Rosalie sternly speaks to her adopted sister.

" It was delicious," Emmett merely commented, not caring about the female human hiker's life that he took since, at the time, he was a Vampire, and he needed blood to survive.

Rosalie sadly shook her head.

Rosalie isn't angry at Emmett because she knew he was only a beginner Vampire and couldn't control his lust for blood. However, Edward is a much older Vampire, and she doesn't want him to cause a scene that can alert the Volturi and kill their family.

" Edward doesn't see Bella like that, Rose," Alice reassures Rosalie. " I saw their future. Bella will be one of us," She excitedly claps her hands and then frowns since she remembered that Bella's future became dark, which confused her.

Rosalie's golden-honey eyes narrowed, feeling angry and annoyed at Alice's response.

Jasper turns his gaze, and he begins to send calming waves towards Rosalie since he doesn't want his adopted sister to hurt his wife/mate.

" Ugh! Stop that, Jasper! Let me feel!" Rosalie angrily flips her hair, turns around, and leaves the house, causing Emmett to follow her, wanting to check up on his wife/mate.

Alice adorably pouted since she didn't like how rude Rosalie is regarding her best friend, Bella.

" Carlisle! Can you reason with Rose and let her know that Bella is safe when she is with Edward?" Alice turns her gaze to her adopted father.

Carlisle slightly turns his gaze to Alice, and he looks at her with concern. He openly remembered Edward about to take Bella's life after sucking all of the Venom out of her system. The patriarch even recalled his adopted son stare at the young female with a feral look. That is why he needed to stop Edward from taking Bella's life since he didn't want his first Vampire son to feel regretful if he accidentally killed her.

Carlisle opened his mouth to say something, but he stopped when the door opened and closed.

" What happened that night is an accident, Carlisle. I haven't drunk blood that much that evening. You know I will never hurt Bella. I love her with all of my life," Edward enters the living room while looking at Carlisle in the eyes.

Alice turns her gaze to Edward, and she happily smiled, feeling glad to see her adopted brother. She then frowned, remembering that she suddenly cannot see Bella's future.

Edward frowned when he sees Alice's thoughts and learns that she cannot see Bella's future.

" When was the last time you saw her future, Alice?" Edward asked, sounding concerned.

Alice looks down at the ground, looking and feeling worried.

" She was leaving her home with Charlie. Then they left town, but everything turned black or foggy. Then I saw Charlie returning to town, but I did not see Bella with him," Alice worriedly tells Edward.

Edward frowned when he saw Bella through Alice's visions, looking scared, but then she disappeared and only saw Charlie driving her awful truck.

" I need to go," Edward turns around, and he was about to leave, but Carlisle stopped him.

" Where are you going?" Carlisle asked.

Edward turns his head back, and his golden-honey eyes intently stared at Carlisle's.

" I need to make sure that my mate is really at her home recovering," Edward firmly speaks, and he then leaves the Mansion.
