Ch. 9 What just happened?

Jacob frowned when he saw Bella hugging Jared and smiling at him. He shook his head and annoyingly stared at the three men that barged into his home. He didn't like that Jared, Paul, and Sam barged into his house as though they own the place. 

" What are you guys doing here?" Jacob sternly asked from inside the kitchen. 

Billy turns his gaze to Jacob. 

" I invited them here," Billy firmly speaks to Jacob. 

Jacob turns his gaze to Billy, and he stares at his father in disbelief. 

" Ugh! I cannot believe you would invite these gang members into our home!" Jacob sternly shouts, and he angrily walks out of the kitchen and towards the living room. 

Sam and Billy watched Jacob walking towards Bella and Jared. 

" Jacob. What are you doing?" Billy sternly asked when he worriedly stares at Jacob when he sees his son put his hand on Bella's shoulder, causing her to look at him. 

" I shouldn't do that if I were you," Sam warned Jacob while carefully eyeing Jared. 

" Jacob?" Bella looked at Jacob with a confused gaze with her hands still wrapped around Jared's waist. 

" Let go of him, Bella. We are leaving," Jacob firmly speaks to Bella. 

Jared's chocolate brown eyes narrowed since he didn't like how Jacob is speaking to Bella. 

" Why?" Bella asked while looking at Jacob with a confused gaze. 

" These guys are gang members, Bella," Jacob confessed. 

Bella's chocolate brown eyes blinked, and she turns her gaze to Jared. 

Jared's narrowed chocolate brown eyes softened when he sees Bella looking at him. 

" I can believe Pauly being a gang member. But, I don't see Jay being one," Bella tells Jacob while softly smiling at Jared. 

" Hey! I am a Protector. Not a gang member," Paul shouted in defense. " Also, can you stop calling me, Pauly? We are not ten!" He mumbled with a slight blush on his cheeks, feeling embarrassed by the nickname. 

" I mean it, Bells. Let go of him!" Jacob grabs Bella's injured arm with the arm sling and pulls her to him. 

" Jacob!" Bella whimpered while tears appeared in her chocolate brown eyes. 

Jared's chocolate brown eyes narrowed as they changed into a wolf-like amber color. His body begins to shake, and he snarls at Jacob when he sees that he is hurting Bella. 

" Jacob! Let go of Bella, this instant!" Billy shouts when he sees Jared staring at Jacob with a murderous gaze. 

Jacob immediately lets go of Bella, and he frowns when he realized that he accidentally hurt her.

Sam walks up to Jared, and he puts his hand on his Beta's shoulder to calm him down. 

Paul immediately got tensed when he saw Jared staring at Jacob with a murderous gaze. He was ready to pull Bella away from the two guys in fear that Jared would accidentally hurt her. He didn't know why, but his Inner-Wolf knew that Bella is very significant to his packmate and shouldn't get hurt. 

" Relax," Sam's Alpha Voice commanded Jared. 

Jared's Wolf-like Amber eyes immediately glanced at Sam.

" Go outside and breathe for a bit," Sam firmly tells Jared. 

Jared turns around, and he walks out of the house to get some fresh air.
