Exams are fast approaching at the same time, malapit na 'rin ang birthday ni Peppermint. She will be having a pool party in their house which will happen after examinations. Just right after she invited me and Zee to her birthday party, inaya kaagad ako ni Zee na bumili ng mga bagong bikini.
Bago ko enjoyin ang magiging birthday party ng kaibigan ko ay tinuon ko muna ang sarili sa pag-aaral for the examinations. My mom took my phone para wala akong distractions. She'd always do that a week before the exams. Nakasanayan ko na 'rin so hindi na ako nag rereklamo. Hindi naman talaga ako nag rereklamo. Hindi ako makapag reklamo.
First day sa exams, I almost fell on my chair when I saw Wing passing her papers in front, still looking fresh. Siya ang naunang natapos!
Minadali niya ba? No! Siya ang kawawa kapag minadali niya. So that means she studied, right? I mean, wow.
Bigla ako naging competitive sa nakita. Without delay, I answered my exam sheets as soon as possible. Careful not to make any mistakes. When I didn't know the answer sa isang numero, I tried to skip it at babalikan ko na lang uli ito kaagad.
Nang matapos ako, review kaagad then pass! 10 minutes ang time interval namin ni Wing! Next time, I'll make it shorter! Or I'll make sure na mas mauuna akong matapos kesa sakanya.
The examination days ended, si Wing palagi nauunang mag pass kesa saakin. Can you believe that?! Kasi ako? Hindi! Hindi ko aakalain na dadating ang araw na magiging ganyan siya! She always looked so stress while taking an exam before, but now, she looked so unbothered! Did she have a change of heart and started studying now? Or baka naman may kodigo siya? Omg. That must be it. She has kodigo!
"Happy Birthday, Peppermint" I smiled sweetly at her when I entered her house and gave her my present.
She smiled back so widely sabay niyakap kaming dalawa ni Zee.
"Thank you! Buti nakapunta kayo!"
Ako ang unang kumalas sakanya at nasasakal na ako sa yakap niya. Si Zee, she hugged Peppermint to the point na nasakal na 'din 'yung tao. Peppermint coughed and smacked Zee's arm.
Napatingin kaagad ako sa kabuuan ng bahay. Kaunti pa lamang ang mga tao na nandito kasi maaga pa. Zee and I are early birds because I don't like it when the venue is already so crowded with people when I enter. Ayoko 'yung baho kaagad ang maamoy ko pagpasok ko.
The people who I'm familiar with greeted me as soon as they saw me. Ngitian ko lang sila at nilagpasan para puntahan ang pool nila Peppermint sa likod. I actually feel like swimming. Ang init kasi ng araw kanina. Kahit ngayon naman, ang lagkit ng hangin sa balat.
So I decided to go find Zee back inside the house to invite her na maligo sa pool with me. Nakita ko kaagad siya kasi tawa ito ng tawa sa kung ano man ang pinag-uusapan nila ni Peppermint sa kitchen.
"Pwede na kayong maligo! Mamaya't maya, the house will be full of people. Magsisimula na 'rin after a few more minutes"
With Peppermint's permission, nagpalit na kami ni Zee ng bikini sa cr nila. I need to swim na. Before people could even arrive and start lowkey pissing in the pool!
The bikini I wore was white and the top was crisscross. Then, I just partnered it with a floral midi skirt na may slit sa gilid. Tinali ko 'rin ang hair ko sa isang bun, was about to wear sunglasses when I realized, walang sun!
