We demand more needy Levi content.

Yeah I had to change the last chapter's title cause I messed up with the original timeline and with the chapters' titles too 🧍🏻‍♀️

📜 Chapter 14: If I'll manage to, I'll hate you; if not, I'll still love you even if I don't want to.📜

"Hey, someone's looking for ya, you better hurry 'cause you need to sign something.
And do you mind explaining what a prenup is, later..?"

And, after those words, complete silence.

Or, actually, lack of words.
Because some sounds could actually be heard: the loud chatting of people in the hall, and a louder door-shutting.

There, Levi still sat in the dark.

It was almost completely dark in the room, before Eren had lighted it up a bit with the lamp he was carrying.

And thanks to that lamp, he could see his lover sitting in the dark, ridiculously close to a woman, or actually, the bride-to-be.

Both hugging their knees, resting their chin on said knees.

But the worst was, how softly he was whispering to her, and how close their faces had to be so that she could hear.

Eren's heart, had just dropped at that sight.

It felt worse than punches to his stomach.

Before he could even realise anything, his mind began rushing and he couldn't think clearly.

He couldn't think, yet his subconscious had begun fearing the worst, or actually the obvious.

And so, big heavy tears appeared on his cheeks.

He exited the room, shutting the door closed.

Meanwhile, Levi could feel like there was a drum inside his chest: he just knew that he had gotten a bad idea, like a really bad one.

Just a wall dividing them, only a few meters away; yet, both felt like the other was in Egypt or something.

And for them, that was the other side of the world.

They had frozen, in shock, at what they both had seen.

Eren, that scene.
And Levi, the brunet's reaction to the biggest misunderstanding ever.

Let's take this slowly, shall we?

...

As much as Levi would have done anything to get the hell out of that situation, the engagement was happening anyway, party or no party.

So, why not flushing the bad emotions down with some alcohol?

As much as he hated admitting it, he was a lightweight at drinking: he had risked to step into the sewer after a few glasses, time prior.

To prevent doing or saying anything that could have literally ruined his life, he just swallowed two glasses in a row, stomach empty as he hadn't properly eaten for how nervous he was.

And after that, he turned incredibly smooth.

Talking to everyone and joking around wih who was already drunk, so unlikely him.

And Eren had not noticed, as he was assigned lots of things to do outside the house.

He did miss the raven, a lot.
But he had had to quickly get used to wait for the night to come, or to get in his rooms with a decently good excuse.
