What's up I am Cassie! - Wait, that was really cheesy.

Hi, my name is Cassie Jones and I just moved to Outer Banks. Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in 2005, which makes me 16 now. I didn't grow up in a rich family but was still grateful to have a roof under my head. My mom left me for some man when I was 5 so I don't really remember her besides from a few photos. Honestly, I don't even wish to remember her. Why would I want to remember someone who left her own child for some boyfriend of hers and never called or anything. Anyways. Since she left, my grandmother from my dad's side basically raised me. When I was a kid, my dad used to work 24/7 in order to provide our small family with everything we needed. But after my mom left, he didn't really do much except for drinking and disappearing for weeks. He said he worked at some marketing company which allegedly explained why he was so busy all the time. He was rarely home and when he was coming back he was always angry. I would always hear him argue with my grandma and leave the house in anger.

I lost my grandma when I turned 16. I couldn't believe it at first but then I realised it. This woman was like a mother to me. Me and my dad couldn't keep grieving any longer and that's when we decided to have a fresh start. He started looking for jobs which was near where we lived and his friend found some job in Outer Banks. That's how we moved here.

My dad never really told me much about the job but I know that its a construction job so I never really ask him about it.  We aren't really close with him but we live under the same roof so we talk sometimes. Sometimes when he gets mad, he gets a little violent and hits me. But life is hard I know people lose control sometime, I don't judge him. I can handle a few bruises. The main thing is that he loves me and works his ass off for me, here in the Outer Banks.

As my dad is working everyday and comes home late, I spend all my day hanging out with Pogues. Honestly, they are more family to me than someone has ever been. They are loyal and caring and its just really good to be around them. When my friends ask me about bruises, I usually say that I fell or something. I never told them about my dad. The life of a Pogue is a million wonders and is just pretty lit. We party every night and have fun. My dad is strict so sometimes when I come home late I might get a slap or two, but its fine. I just try not make him angry. After all he is the only blood family I have left.
