The Affair (Wanda Maximoff)

chapter twenty seven

Everything started to escalate really quickly and I soon realized that Danyelle was about to hit Wanda with the bat she had behind her back. Right before she could I grabbed Wanda's arm and shoved her behind me. Danyelle then tried to go for me but I grabbed the bat before she could make contact. Doing this made her even more furious to the point she started smashing random things around the house while screaming. I turned to Wanda who I could see was on the verge of a panic attack. "Hey hey listen to me Wands okay? Go upstairs and call 911 i'll deal with her but don't say much about our situation. Just say your wife is smashing things and tried to attack you because you asked for a divorce. Your friend is downstairs right now trying to call her down but it's not working. Okay can you do that bubs?" I was looking Wanda straight in the eyes as I rubbed her arms up and down to try and calm her down. She nodded and was on the verge of tears. "No tears love just stay upstairs till the cops come." She started shaking her head no, "but what if she hurts you." I quickly kissed her on the lips to assure her i'll be okay. "Wanda i'll be fine now go please." She nodded and made her way upstairs to her room. This was going to be fun.

Once Danyelle realized Wanda was going upstairs she tried to follow her. I pinned her against the wall and stopped her before she kneed me in my stomach causing me the bend over a little bit. With my grip on her slipping she slid out from in front of me and went to the back of me. She shoved me on the floor and I landed on my back she was about to smash my head with the bat when I rolled out of the way. "You're trying to KILL ME!" I got up and Danyelle swung at my head again but I ducked and grabbed the bat. I twisted the bat so she would twist around with it. She was now on the ground and she jabbed the bat upwards so it would hit my stomach. "Fuck!" I moved the bat backwards so now it hit her in her chin which pissed her off even more. She grabs the bat from my grasp and smacks the end of it on my knee caps causing me to fall to the floor in pain. With that she drops the bat and lands on top of me and starts punching me aimlessly. She knew about my shoulder injury and so of course that's where she hit the hardest. I tried to cover my body as much as possible but it wasn't working to well. I swear she was throwing punches for at least five minutes to the point where I was bleeding and so were her knuckles. I couldn't move or feel anything anymore. I was numb in the arm, face and stomach.

Soon enough Wanda came downstairs and went to the front door to let the cops in. They came and saw the state I was in and called an ambulance while they tried to pry Danyelle off my limb body. I heard Wanda hysterically crying to the officer. The medics arrived and ran straight to me. "Hey Miss my names Maggie what's yours?" I looked up to her and groaned from the pain, "Brooklyn Bennett." She nodded, "good you can still hear me do you understand what's happening right now?" I looked down towards my bruised stomach, "yeah she only hit my nose once. I previously injured my shoulder and shattered my collarbone just to let you know cause she kept punching my shoulder. She knew I was injured there she was trying to hurt me." The medics just kept asking me questions to make sure I stayed awake. I was fully aware of my surroundings I was just in so much pain.

Wanda was taken outside to give her statement to the officers as I was being wheeled out into the ambulance. Wanda saw and ran over to my side, "hey Brooke i'm so sorry this is all my fault." I turned and grabbed her hand, "Wanda stop it's okay it was either you or me she would of attacked. I would do it all over again." She smiled down at me but her eyes were so sad. God I wish I could just kiss her right now. The medics put me in the ambulance and Wanda said she would meet me there.

Here we go to the hospital again. I really hope this doesn't get out around the school.
