Chapter Twenty Two

Chapter 22

???'s POV

"I think we need to make stuff happen today," I declare. "You are right. There hasn't been a death in around two days!" My cohost exclaims.

I think. "So, what are we going to do?"

Kayli's POV

"I think we should start moving on now," I tell Madelinelle. "What?! We'll be caught! And killed! I don't wanna die!" She exclaims. I tell her, "I don't either, but if we stay for too long, were gonna be found!"

She sighs. "I guess you're right..." And she falls on a hospital bed.

I go up the stairs to the balcony I ran to yesterday, following where I think I saw Zayn go. I see him there, and silently go through the glass sliding doors.

Apparently it isn't just Zayn.

Dianne is here, too. Smushed against his face. "Oohh!" I say like a child and put my hands over my heart. That sure scared 'em. They jumped.

"I, uh, didn't see you there," Dianne says, embarrased. I laugh.

I look over the balcony and they do the same.

"I love this view, even if it doesn't give much," I say to no one on particular. Then I hear a gunshot, then a crash.

I look around and see nothing, Zayn doing the same. Then I see it- there was a hole in the glass sliding doors.

I look down right after I stared at the hole. And scream as loud as I can.

"DIANNE!!" I scream.

I look up at Zayn, looking at his sad eyes. And I realize what we have to do.

"Everyone!" I shout to my friends. "We've been spotted! We have been found! We need to get out of here IMMEDIATELY." I step out of the doorway so One Direction and the girls can rush out, to the front door of the building.

"Are you really that stupid!? Go to the emergency exit, so they won't see us!!" I order them. I open it and see that it is down an alley. Perfect.

"Go! Go! Go!" I open the door for them all and rush through myself, slamming the door behind me.

I open a dumpster, and it's empty. I tell everyone to get in, and they do, except Zayn. "But it smells bad," he sniffs from crying over Dianne.

I look at Him like he's stupid and push him in. I get in after.

"I don't hear anything," Camara whispers. She's right. We climb out of the dumpster and I see Zayns grossed-out face.

"Oh stop it," Liam tells him as if he were his mom. "We're gonna need to find another place," Madelinelle says.

"You know, before I met you guys, and before I was in that factory place where Kayli and Harry found me, I was in this place that was really good, with hiding and protection?" Camara suggests.

We all look at her weird.

And I ask,

"Where?"

Camara leads us to a dark forest not far away. "Cool," Madelinelle says making the "not bad" face. "Cool?! What if there's bats? Bears!" Niall exclaims, then lowers his voice to say, "monsters.."

I roll my eyes.

Well, if we're going to stay here, we need shelter.

Camara reads my thoughts. "I didn't put down the big tent I set up. Just follow me." She leads us down and it gets darker as we go. Even if it is still bright outside.

We stop infront of a huge tent, and the girls and I climb in. "So what about when it's dark?" Louis asks, peeking in. Camara flicks on a light.

"Food?" Niall pushes through. Camara gets out of the tent and goes over to a smaller one without a word. She climbs back in and the boys get in too, to see if we all fit. And sure enough, we do.

"Well I'm tired. That walk made me," Louis says yawning and lays down. "Yeah." Everyone agrees and lay down too.

"Shouldn't we have a patrol?" I ask.

"Trust me," Camara states, "we are not going to be found. I never did for the first week."

So we sleep

I wake up from the smell of something burning. It's only been two hours, and it's still bright. "Did you light a fire or something?" I yawn before I realize no one else Is in the tent.

"Nope!" Camara squeals, scared, from outside the tent. "Huh?" I ask.

Suddenly there's a pang on the ground and a trickling noise is made.

I scream an run out of the tent. The tent was on fire!

"What the heck?!" Zayn shouts. He must've just got up too.

"RUN FRAKING AWAYYY!" Madelinelle yells and runs as fast as she can, us following.

We run until we are out of the forest. "Is everyone okay?!" She shouts, standing infront of us. I see light coming from above her.

"Madelinelle, MOVE!!" I scream. She looks behind her, and runs forward. What an idiot.

"MADELINELLE!!!!" Me and Niall cry out, as the fire burns her back, knocking her out. "M-m....." I sigh. I cry like crazy.

A cannon like Niyahs goes off and we walk away. "I.. I can't believe this..." Niall cries softer.
