Chapter Twenty Five

Chapter 25

Kayli's POV

I slowly trudge back in the store, after a small pitiful whine. I took the knife out of Camara's chest. Another enemy flung one at me again, but missed me when I bent down. It only ripped open my shirt, and gave me a small red streak down my back.

I speak quietly when I'm in earshot. "There's 51 people now..." I sigh.

"Oh, no! Poor Camara!" Emila wails.

A tear goes down Rancine's cheek. "But where's the boys?"

"The boys were... Captured, by management. But we can't worry about that now. An enemy knows we're here. She was hiding in the bushes, the one who killed Camara. Here's the knife," I bring out the bloodied knife, and the one that barely cut my back.

Emila gasps and scoots back at the sight of the red one. "Why'd you bring it in?" She exclaims, covering her swollen stomach.

I stare, shocked at her reaction.

"How dare you think I would do that!" I shout. She calms a bit, but her voice is still shaky, "I-I didn't... I was being over protective, you know that. Forgive me, please? You are strong and intelligent, I wouldn't be alive without you."

I stop to think. If only I could be those characteristics when everyone else was alive. Now my best friends I've only known for a week.

I close my eyes, putting the thoughts in their original place. "Alright. We must go now, though."

"Ooh! Lets go there!"

The hotel's around 25 stories. Like the one before the games.

We decide to use the top floor, since there'll be more time to hide if we get intruders.

"I cannot get over this view!"

Us three freeze.

"Who was that?" Rancine asks.

The voices stop.

"Hello?" One peeks around a corner with uncertainty.

"Uh, hello!" I answer clearer than her, stepping out from behind the wall.

The other two shriek.

I stare at the other girl in amazement.

"You look just like me!" I exclaim.

"You look just like me!" She corrects.

"Are we twins?"

"I think so!"

I look at her closer. "Allies, then?" She states at me dumb-founded.

"Of course!"

So like I read books about cats and medicine cats can't have kids so this one cat is like I'm not your mom I'm sorry but I can't tell you your real mom

So I'm guessing its the medicine cat cause it has to be the leaders family but really

What if your mom came up to you one day and said "hey your not my daughter your mom is actually a nun but nuns can't have kids cause their nuns so I took you instead but I still love you even though I lied to you since your were born"
