Chapter 23

It had been some months since Skye and Chase had their pups, as well as Marshall and Everest. Their pups had been training to become members of the paw patrol with Alex as their new leader. They couldn't be the paw patrol forever and they knew that but it was fun while it lasted.

Zuma POV
I watched as Ryder was teaching Alex some things about the paw patrol. I couldn't believe how far we have come. The new pups and Alex were doing so good pretty soon they would have their first mission. It would be nice to be free of rescues and things and just have a peaceful life with Ryder and maybe I might even be with Ella, Tucks sister. Skye walked over to me.

"Hey Zuma, watching Ryder and Alex?" She asked. "Yeah and he's really good too." I said.
"So when you telling Ella you like her." Skye said with a smirk. I froze and looked around then leaned in towards her. "How'd you know?" I asked her quietly. "Zuma your my best friend, I've seen the way you look at her, it's the same look I gave Chase when we were younger." She said with a smile. "Yeah I guess and you still give him that look." I told her laughing."

Me and Skye just watched them together when Kiya came almost crashing into us. "Woah Kiya slow down." Skye said. "Sorry mom." She said. "Luke is chasing me cause we are playing tag and, oh no he's coming." She said and she took off. "They sure do get along with Marshall and Everest pups." I told Skye. "Yeah Zuma they play with each other everyday." Skye said with a smile watching them in the grass. "I wish I had kids." I said. "Maybe you will one day with Ella." Skye said laughing. I just blushed. "I'm just playing Zuma." Skye said. "I know." I replied and we both just sat there laughing.

Chase POV
I sat there with Liam teaching him things about being a police dog. He wanted to be just like me in the paw patrol and he was really good at it. He had just finished beating a riddle thing I had set up for him. "Dad I finished it." He said.
"Wow that was fast, faster than last time actually." I told him proud. "Welp your training is complete, you are great so you can go play now." I said and he left straight away.

I walked around and saw Skye with Zuma so I went over there. "Oh hey Chase." Skye said as she gave me a lick. "Hey so Liam completed all his training." I told them both. "What really?!" Zuma and Skye said. "Yep I'm so proud." I said. "Well Lexi finished hers too and she's  just as good as me with flying maybe better." Skye said. "Wow this is crazy, even the new dogs Alex recruited for the other roles are ready, they could probably go on there first mission today." Zuma said.

Ryder POV
Today would probably be the last day of us being the paw patrol. I am so proud of my pups and what they have become. Since we did so many things like helping and saving people Mayor Goodway got a big house built for me and my pups that we can all stay in and Alex can have the lookout and gear. I built him and the new members all new vehicles and pup packs so my pups could keep there's for memories are maybe even to help out once in a while.

"Well Alex I think your ready to be the new paw patrol leader." I told him. "What really?!" He said excited. "Yep you have grown up enough and learned enough to so welcome to the paw patrol." I said as I gave him a badge.
I also lined up all the new pups and gave them one to.

It was starting to get late and we thought that maybe today they wouldn't get their first mission. "Well maybe tomorrow then." I told them.

Skye POV
As we were about to head inside the lookout for a movie, Alex got a call on the pup pad and we knew it was his time to shine. He called all the members to the lookout while we lined up outside and waited for them.

"I can't believe this is happening." Everest said.
"I know I'm so excited." Marshall said.

We then heard their cars start up and we saw them all going down the driveway. We all ran after them to the end of the driveway and started cheering for them as the went on their first mission.

The sun was setting as the old team all lined up together by a hill and watched it. The rays of the sun warming up everyone's faces and the wind bringing a cool breeze. It was if as the world was giving them a warm thank you for all they had done. Ryder brought all his pups in for a hug. "I can't believe it's finally over." He said. "Well maybe not we just started a new era of new adventures instead of rescues." Chase said. "Well you want to know what I think." Skye asked everyone. "What?" They asked. "We need one more paw patrol is on a roll." She replied. All the pups looked at Ryder. He smiled as he looked at each one of them and they all shouted...

PAW PATROL, IS ON A ROLL!

Aaaaaand  that's a wrap for this story. I hope you guys liked it, I originally wrote this story for fun never thinking people would actually read it but you guys did, if you think I'm leaving after this don't worry I'm staying, but I'll be writing story's on others things, some of them being a miraculous ladybug story, and a fortnite story I'm working on now, but I still might write more paw patrol stories in the future so stick around.
