Chapter 14

Marshall's POV
It was early in the morning and the sun was rising. I had got up to check on Skye and Chase. They should be feeling better by now, only a few minor thing like a cough and sneeze should be still there, but it's not contagious. I wanted to check on them fast because I think Everest is going to be coming over to spend the night today.

Chase POV
I had just woken up and I felt a lot better. I looked to my right and saw Skye still asleep, but I didn't wake her up. She needed the rest.
I was just daydreaming in my own thoughts when I hear a knock on the door.

"Chase you guys up?" Marshall asked.

"I am, hold on." I said. Then I reached and opened the door for him. "You here to check up on us?" I asked.

"Yeah so I need to wake Skye up, but I kind of don't want to she looks cute, and peaceful when she is sleep....no offense to you though I'm just saying." Marshall said with a nervous grin.

"Don't worry buddy, it's fine. She does look cute and peaceful, but either way she has to get up." I told him. So I shook Skye a little and she moved around.

"Hey Chase," she turned her head. "Oh hi Marshall." Skye said to them with a smile.

Marshall laughed, "looks like you feeling a lot better Skye."

"Yeah, besides my throat being a little scratchy I'm feeling great." Skye said wagging her tail.
"Yeah and I'm feeling good too, but my throat also is a little scratchy." I said

"Well I guess your good to come out now." Marshall said happy.

Instantly they both sprinted out of the pup house and were running in circles outside.

"Yay!" They both shouted. Then Ryder came out of the lookout and saw them both having fun.

"Well looks like someone's happy to be out." He said laughing.

They both turned around and saw him standing there.

"Ryder!" They yelled. Then they both ran to him and jumped him his arms licking him to death.

"Aww, I missed you guys to." Ryder said petting their heads.

"Ryder where are the other pups?" I asked.

"Their inside." He replied. So me and Skye raced to the lookout doors.

Skye's POV
We were about to enter the lookout. I couldn't wait to see everyone. I wanted to see Zuma because he's my closest friend, other than Everest, and I wanted to see how he was doing.
We walked in and everyone came rushing toward us. Next thing I knew I was pinned down by someone.

"SKYE!" Zuma said. Your back.

I giggled. "Zuma I never went anywhere I was just sick, but I missed you too." I said with a smile. He let me up and the other gathered around.

"So you guys feel better?" Rocky asked.

"Yep" me and Chase said at the same time.

"Well let's play outside then!" Marshall shouted and we all went outside.

Zuma's POV
We were all sitting outside thinking about what to play. Skye was sitting by Chase and Marshall, and Rubble was by Rocky but also staring at Skye but why.

"Hey Skye did you grow some, you look taller." Rubble asked. Then all the pups turned to look at her.

"Yeah you do look a little taller." Rocky said.

"What...how to you know?" Skye asked.

"Well usually when you and Chase are sitting next to each other your usually as tall as around his neck area, but now it looks like you reach a little higher than is neck area." Marshall told her.

"So that might explain why my uniform felt a little small." Skye said with a smile.

"Yep I noticed too, so that's why I made you a bigger uniform and made a slightly bigger pup house." Ryder said walking up to us.

"What Ryder how did you know?" I asked him.

"Well the rest of you were growing pretty fast, but Skye was taking a little longer so I knew she would need it." Ryder replied petting Skye on the head.

"See I told you that you still had growing to do Skye." Chase said. Then he whispered in her ear, "and now you'll be a little stronger too." He said with a smirk.

"Shush." Skye said with a smile. Apparently the others heard.

"What's Chase talking about." I asked.

"Nothing." Skye answered quickly. Chase just laughed.

Then they heard a car pull up in the entrance. It was Everest and she was running over to us.

"Hey pups." She said.

"EVEREST!" Marshall yelled as he attacked her with licks.

"Okay..ok Marshall I missed you to." Everest laughed.

"Well how about we play tag." I suggested.

"Yeah that's a great idea Zuma." Rocky said.

"Tag your it Rubble." Rocky said to him.

Rubble was chasing us all round the yard. Then he was chasing me, Skye, and Marshall. We were all running together when Rubble tripped over a stick and crashed into us. We all laughed it off. As we were getting up we heard Skye bark in pain.

"Skye what's wrong?" I asked.

"Nothing, Rubble just stepped on my leg when he got up, I'm fine she said with a smile.

Everyone else went back to playing except me because out of the corner of my eye Skye was still standing there, and when she put her leg on the ground I saw her in pain. She looked around and limped over to her pup house. She thought no one saw her, but I did so I went to check on her.

"Skye your hurt." I said with a frown.

She looked at me and frowned to. "It just hurts a little i should be fine in the morning though." She said and smiled.

"Okay but if you need anything tell me." I said.

"Okay I will Zuma, and thanks for checking up on me." She said as she gave me a hug.

"I'm going to get some rest so tell the others." She said as she went into her pup house.

I ran back to the others and they were waiting.
"Where's Skye?" Chase asked. "Um...she was tired so she went to bed.

"Is she okay?" Marshall asked.

"Yeah dudes she's fine." I told them. Tho I knew that really she wasn't.

"Pups time for bed!" Ryder called.

I walked to my pup house and closed the door.
"She'll be okay" I thought.....I hope.
