Chapter 18

Skye's POV
It had been a couple of months since I had found out that me and Chase were going to have pups and we were really excited. Right now it was about noon and I was sitting in my pup house being annoying by Chase because he thought I always needed something. I know he's just caring for me but it's starting to drive me crazy.

"Do you need food? Water? Something to lay on that comfy?" Chase was rambling outside my pup house.

"Chase I told you I'm fine." I said with a smile.
He laid down close to me and took a deep breath.

"I know it's just I want to do it right..This is the first time I get to be a dad and I want to be the best one they have.

I giggled. "They, what if there only one?"
"That's not what your belly showing." He said grinning.

He was right it had grew a lot and it sure did look like it was not going to just be one pup.

"Well you may be right so what names should we start thinking of." I asked him.

"Well if it's a boy maybe Liam, and if it's a girl then Kiya or Lexi." Chase responded still thinking.

"Well I like those names so that's what we got for now but I think we will know when the time comes." I said and gave him a lick on the cheek.

PAW PATROL TO THE LOOKOUT!!!

"Welp, I guess Ryders calling." Chase said standing up.

"I wish I could go with you." I said looking at the ground.

"Well we don't want anything to happen to the pups and don't worry I'll be back to you as soon as I can, besides Everest will be here too." He told me then he locked lips with me. He made the kiss quick because he had to go but I think we both still enjoyed it.

Chase's POV
We went up the elevator and Ryder told us that's a rockslide had occurred and we needed to clear it up. So he called on me to redirect traffic and Rubble to clear the road.

We got there and I wanted to hurry so I sped off and do my job while Rubble did his. It felt like forever had gone by and Rubble still wasn't done. After I redirected the traffic I drove back to them hoped out the car and stood by Ryder.

"Chase you okay?" Ryder asked.

"Yeah I just want to hurry so I can get back to Skye." I said looking at him. He gave me a scratch on the head.

"Don't worry Chase he'll be done soon." Ryder said, and then we waited.

Finally Rubble was done and we could head back home. At first I thought I was speeding because I was going so fast but eventually I made it back to the lookout before the others.

I saw the other pups playing tag in the yard and Skye and Everest sitting down talking to each other. I started to sneak up on Skye when I over heard their conversation.

"So Skye are you finally happy your with Chase and having pups with him?" Everest asked.

"Actually very, I liked him ever since he found me and I thought it would go away but it only grew he never really noticed so I thought I didn't have a chance but here I am." Skye said her and Everest laughing.

She liked me for that long? I never even noticed. Wow I'm an idiot. I thought.

I walked up to them talking and turned to Skye.

"CHASE!" She said and attacked me with licks. After she was done greeting me I turned back to her.

"Skye you liked me for that long?" I asked her.
She looked confused then realized what I meant and blushed.

"Ohhh...you heard that hehe." She said still blushing. "Well yeah I kind of have, but didn't really start feeling it until a while ago."

"I can't believe I didn't notice I started to like you too but if I would have known that you like me back then we could have been together a lot earlier." I told her smiling.

"Yeah she talked about you all the time. About how handsome and brave you were, she even-but she was cut on by Skye covering her mouth.

"EVEREST!!" She practically yelled while she was as red as a tomato may be redder.

"What." She said bursting with laughter."

I laughed to Skye was still blushing hard, so I decided to tease her.

"Skye why are you blushing.. you like what you see." I said and made a pose like a model.

"I..uh." Was all she could say before she looked away blushing madly. I laughed again.

"Chase..."She mumbled. I decided to stop.

"I was just messing around with you." I told her and gave her a kiss and wrapped her in a hug. Marshall then came up to us.

"Hey guys." He said. Then put in arm around Everest. "So tonight is supposed to nice, want to sleep under the stars cause everyone else already went to bed?" He asked.

"That's sound fun." Skye said. "Yeah let's do it." I joined in. So we found a comfy, grassy spot but made sure to bring cover in case it got cold and got settled down together.

"It's surprises me how pretty the world can be.."Skye said quietly to where only I could her.

"Its doesn't surprise me." I told her.

"Why?" She asked.

"It's because you are my world, and your not pretty, to me no words can describe what you are, your good in so many ways." I said as I snuggled closer to her.

She turned and gave me a long kiss. "I love you Chase you know." She said smiling. "Yeah I know and just like you love me, I love you too."

Then after that the night was peaceful.
