Third person's POV: 4 years later
Things are fine now, Mizuka's company successfully remained on top for years and she's contented with her current life.
Although she's 'contented', she still longed for that emotional pleasure of someone she loves, and that's Hayato.
They had a big argument that led both of them in devastation, that was 3 years ago. Mizuka and Hayato had a hard time meeting each other's lives; from late, tired calls to busy, delayed texts.
Mizuka had no choice, she runs a company that her family ran for generations. Hayato on the other hand, supports his girlfriend even he's not with her and always patiently waited for her free time.
But that day really set things apart, they were both frustrated and stress that their conversation went somewhere it shouldn't have been.
Today's the day where Mizuka had her freedom, she decided to spend her time alone in Japan and meet some people she missed the most.
Mizuka's POV
I waited at the school entrance where Inomata and Yuki are studying to surprise them. After a while, students finally shows up leaving the campus, all I have to do is spot them.
After spotting them, I hurriedly but carefully followed them to the bus station on the other street, I stood beside Yuki and asked, "What time is it?".
She turned around and I saw the funniest shocked face I've seen, "MIZUKA!" She hugged me while Inomata took time to process everything she just saw.
"You're back" Inomata smiled and joined me and Yuki in our hugging session, "How's life?" I asked, "Not the same without you!" Yuki said, "Why didn't you tell us you're coming back?" Inomata asked, "Surprise?" I chuckled.
"You know what time is it?" We all said, "Drinking time!" We laughed as we shouted together the answer.
"I have a lot to tell you- guys..."
My tone of voice suddenly changed as my eyes laid on someone, someone whom I loved, someone I missed the most.
Kamitani, Hayato.
"Something wrong?" Inomata asked and followed my eyes, "Hmm? You're looking at the baseball field-" Inomata nudged Yuki, signaling something.
"Have you met Kamitani?" Yuki asked, "Yeah, I have. He told me how to get here" I said, "Why don't we go now? You guys must have things to do. Let's go!" Our eyes says it all, we went to the private bar we all frequently go.
As we got our seat, I noticed Yuki and Inomata seems to get along very well than the past years of being with them. I missed 4 years because my time was only focused to work, but not to myself.
While we waited for our drinks and side dishes, we played a little truth or dare. "Truth or Dare?" They asked, "Why do I go first?" I asked but they just laughed at me.
"Dare...I know you guys have a plan" I suspected, "Well guess what? Here's our dare. Call Hayato and tell him to come here" They said.
I took my phone, opened the messages and unblocked him. It's been a while and I don't want to look at the last messages we had.
"It's ringing" I said while the phone is on my ear, "Hello?" He answered, "Hi, my friends told me to invite you, we're at the bar we all go to-" I forgot something, "Oh I'm sorry, are you free today?"
"Yeah, I am"
"Sorry for bothering, it's a dare don't worry. You can stay wherever you are"
"No, I'm going. See you" He ended the call and so the drinks came. "You guys are really annoying" I joked, "At least you're not alone anymore" Yuki said, doing a hi-five with Inomata.
Third person's POV
After a while, Hayato came and found Yuki, Inomata drunk except Mizuka. "Oh there you are!" They said, "Ryuuichi!" Mizuka happily hugged him.
"How's Oba-san?" She asked, "She's fine" He answered, "Have a seat!" Hayato sat down beside Mizuka and Ryuuichi beside Hayato.
Hayato noticed that they already had twelve bottles of beer, he's now worried for Mizuka since she sometimes doesn't take alcohol that much.
"Since all of us is here, let's play Truth or Dare" Yuki said, "We did that already! Try something new" Mizuka said.
"Since you're the one who insisted, Mizuka you're up!" Inomata said, "Again? Ugh!" Mizuka got frustrated.
"Let's switch things up, Truth!" Mizuka said while chugging beer, "Alright! Are you meeting anyone?" Yuki asked, "I have" Hayato turned his head to Mizuka.
"But not anymore" Their eyes met, Hayato could see sadness in her eyes.
Mizuka smiled and laughed, "How foolish isn't it?"
"Yesterday he was there for you, but today, he just left you"
Mizuka noticed a message from a girl in Hayato's phone. She immediately guessed it's his new girlfriend, perhaps fiancée.
"Next!" Mizuka shouted, slamming the bottle of beer on the table, "Truth or Dare?" Yuki asked Hayato, "Dare" He quickly answered.
"Ohh~ Kiss her" Inomata pointed at Mizuka, "Oh nah" Mizuka distant herself, "Aren't you guys a couple? This usually takes a minute to finish" Yuki said.
"He has a girlfriend!" Mizuka pointed at his phone with a message from a girl.
"Wait, you two are not-" Ryuuichi was about to say something but Hayato covered his mouth.
"Do it! Do it! Do it!" The girls cheered as both Mizuka and Hayato looked at them, "Let them be" Mizuka said.
Hayato knew Mizuka is hiding something, he doubts that she's already taken by someone else.
"Can I we have 5 more bottles of beer please?" Mizuka asked the waiter.
As she grabbed her drink, Hayato stopped her, leaned closer until a centimeter is left.
Hayato wrapped his arm around her waist and stole a kiss from her.
Mizuka pulled out, and they both locked eyes.
Mizuka's POV
That kiss. I longed for that. I want more.
