"Mike what's a prank?"asked El pointing towards a word in her book.

He shuffled closer to her,scanning the words on the page,"It's sort of like a uhh...joke I guess,but involves more action.I really don't know how to explain it,"the boy sighed.

"Oh ok,"the brown-haired girl slid of the bed onto her carpet.

Quietly,she tiptoed to her dresser,opening some of its draws,a big smile stretching over her face when she pulled out a fake,plastic spider.

She lay back on to her bed,the spider safely tucked into the pocket of her sweater,excitement already taking over from what was about to happen.

"Mike,"her honey coloured eyes met his dark brown ones,"can you please get me some water?"

"Yeah of course,"he said jumping off the bed and quickly running to the kitchen.

El smiled,sitting up when he came back with a glass of water in his hand.

"There you go,"he sat next to her,handing over the drink.

Carefully,the brunette leaned over to kiss the side of his face,one of her hands digging the spider out of her pocket and placing it under his collar.

She felt even more skittish when his cheeks turned a dark red,knowing that Mike would never suspect his girlfriend to have done anything.

Her face concealed the emotion playing around in her body perfectly-'you have to look innocent,that means pure curiosity has to play out on your face,and make sure to act normal,that means acting yourself '-she learned that from a book she had read and was now executing the plan perfectly.

"What happened?"worry overtook Mikes face as he looked at his girlfriend,who was sitting at the end of the bed looking into his face intently.

"Nothing,you're just really pretty,"she mumbled wrapping him into an embrace,burying her head in the crook of his neck.

The spider was still there,waiting under his collar for its time,until then,all El had to do is sit and wait.

It only took a few minutes for her patience to run out though.

She nudged Mike in the stomach affectionately,causing him to kick her lightly in the legs.

They continued like this for a few minutes,nudging,kicking,pushing,El's eyes still glued on the spider which was slowly revealing itself from underneath his collar as he moves around.

It was close to falling out now,most of its body uncovered.She knew Mike would see it if it just fell onto the covers.

Soon enough it did and for the first few seconds nothing happened.

El was almost sure her heart would jump out of her chest in a minute,she could feel it beating in her ears,pulsing in her temple,making it hard for her to concentrate when Mike finally saw the plastic toy.

"El- what is this?"the curly haired boy picked up the small piece of plastic from the bed.

"Hah,I pranked you!"she said laughing into her hands.

"Wha- oh yeah!"he joined in laughing too,hoping she wouldn't notice how confused he was.

"Look!See,it's plastic,it's not real,"she smiled widely,grabbing the toy from his hands and waving it in front of his face.

"Yeah,I can see.Thats a great prank El!"he said pulling her into a warm hug and planting a kiss on her head,the smell of lavender shampoo filling the air.

"Thank you,"she giggled into his shirt,the spider falling out of her hands as she relaxed more into him.

They stayed like that for a few minutes,just taking each other in.

"You know,I think you're the best prankster ever,"said Mike,finally breaking the silence.

"Really?"she looked up at his freckled face.

"Oh yeah,definitely,and believe me,if you're better than me then wow,and you are better than me,"he stroked her light brown hair.

She placed a warm hand on one of his cheeks,the other hand placed on the other one.
Slowly,she leaned closer,placing small kisses along his freckles,Mike trying not laugh since it tickled him a lot.

"Maybe,we could be a team of pranksters,"the girl announced when she finally pulled away.

"Sure,"he kissed her lips before laying them both down on the bed again.
