Puppy love-also known as young love or perhaps teenage love-was something that El Hopper and Mike Wheeler had.As much as they told Hopper,Joyce and Karen,honestly everyone,how serious their relationship was,no one believed them.It was really hard to do so when the only thing they did was go out for ice cream or lie in bed snuggled up together like two birds of a feather.

Even though they insisted it was like an adult relationship,no one could keep a straight face listening to them say that.

Countless of times,Joyce had found them asleep on the couch whilst a movie played in the background.When she had woken Mike up the previous time,he said he'd pretended to be fake sleeping just because El was actually passed out from tiredness.Joyce shook her head at the teens and switched off the TV which was already rolling the credits by that time.

"You guys are going to get caught like this one day,and not by me,by Hopper.You know how that will end for you,Wheeler,"Joyce lifted her eyebrows at the boy.

It was true.He knew what Hopper would do.In fact,everyone knew what would happen if Hopper found them all happy and cuddled up on the couch together with their bodies 100% touching.

It would go a little something like:
"Wheeler,get your hands off my daughter!"Hopper would shout,startling Mike so much that he'd jump from the couch with no further hesitation.

Later,he'd probably chase Mike out of the front door until he went home and El would wonder why Mike had disappeared whilst she was trying to have a well deserved nap.

Another time,Max and Will spied on the the couple who were feeding each other vanilla ice cream.Both of them found it gross and stuck their tongues out from behind the bush they were crouching against.

"That's disgusting."Will made a fake gaging sound and rolled his eyes.

"It's...romantic,"Max said,trying to convince not only Will but herself.

He made a face."How is that romantic?"

"You're right,it's not."

The pair went back to looking through their binoculars when Mike and El had just began kissing.It must've been a really sticky kiss.No,like literally.Their faces were stuffed with sweet vanilla ice cream.

Soon they went back to shoving ice cream in their mouths,sparing Will and Max from having to watch them make out.

"Thank God that's over,"Will said and dramatically pressed a hand to his forehead causing Max to laugh a little too loud.

The couple heard the contagious laugh, that Mike hated.

"Mike,it's not-"

"Max!"he yelled at the red haired girl.

"And Will?!"he shouted angrily at his best friend.

When he'd gathered both of them he stood silently,his eyes slipping from one figure to another.

"What the hell is going on here?"Mike glared at them as El stood awkwardly to the side,smiling at her obviously annoyed best friend.

"It was Wills idea,"the girl started.
"No!It was yours!"he shoved her away.
"Stop lying!"
"I'm not!"

"Guys!I don't care who's idea it was.I just need to know what is going on here!"Mike tried calming down but it was hard when u have found two people you know just spying on you and your girlfriend.

Will and Max shrugged,causing Mikes lips to turn into a thin line.
"You know what?I don't care.Let's go,El,"he said,wrapping one arm around his very scared looking my girlfriend.

There's many more examples,they involve lots more making out though.Times where the party had walked in on them kissing in El's room just as they were about to throw her a party or when Hopper found them all over each other on the couch.

A/n

I stayed at school today from 8am-8pm so I'm extremely tired as you can imagine which is why this is so bad.
