Freak pt1

Mike and El are 13/14 so a tiny bit younger in this.
Fluff and a tinyyyyy but of angst..still no spice.

Mike and El were watching a soap.It was the night before El started high school like a 'normal' kid and she wanted to relax.

"Mike am I your g-girlfriend," she asked watching a lady on the screen say that same word.

Mike tensed up behind her,the air getting to hot and sticky around him.Was she his girlfriend?Well he hoped so."Um well if you want to be girlfriend and boyfriend,"he smiled.

"What does it mean to be girlfriend and boyfriend though?"she looked at him with puppy eyes and Mike obviously couldn't deny explaining.

He shifted a bit before starting,"Well when you are girlfriend and boyfriend it means that you are in a romantic relationship which basically means that you kiss and that stuff but if you are with someone you can't be with someone else at the same time...if that makes sense."

"Oh,is that it?Then why did the girl on the tv say 'love' to the boy,"El sat up from the couch.

"Well when you have a girlfriend or boyfriend you usually say you love them,that's why."

El got closer to Mike,"Do I love you?"

"Uhm well you're the only one that can answer that question,"the air around him got hot again.

"Oh,"she sunk into the couch.

The day El had been dreading had finally come.

She started school today.

Mike came to her house extra early,explaining all the things to do and what not to do and just going over the basics with her.
He helped her pick out some clothes and packed her bag,explaining why she needs so many things.

Later he made her some breakfast-a triple eggo extravaganza-to be correct.
El shared it with him as a thank you for preparing her for school.

As soon as El finished eating she got onto the bike,which Mike thankfully bought.El sat at the back,more squirmy than usual but Mike just decided that it was because she was anxious.

They reached the school,where the rest of the party greeted them,all of them comforting the girl,which made him extremely happy.

He took his girlfriend by the hand and lead her through the entrance.Quickly,he took her to the first class and sat down next to her.

Children walked in,children walked out,getting confused if they should be in this class but that wasn't the reason.
Everyone knew about El,everyone knew she had powers,that was the reason they ran out of the class Mike finally realised

El watched them with wide eyes and confusion,Mike knew what she was going to ask him even though he hoped she wouldn't.

"Why are they running?Do they need help?"El asked sweetly,completely unaware that they were running because of her.

"I don't know,they are just assholes,"Mike snorted,glaring at the girls that wouldn't stop staring at El.

Once the class filled up with students,Mr Clarke stood up from his seat and called El up.

He placed his hands on her shoulders,"This is our new student,her name is Jane.I hope you treat her well and make her feel comfortable in our school."

A few boys snickered at that and El's eyes sunk to the floor.

"Boys,stop that,"Mr Clarke shouted causing El to flinch,"Jane,darling,tell us some things about yourself."

El stepped away from Mr Clarke,"My nickname is El so umm,you can call me that and umm I love eggos and...Mike."

Mike gulped,repeating the words in his head.So she did love him.She loved him.The boy grinned like an idiot to himself,earning weird looks from the rest of the class.

"That's great Jane!I hope you are excited to learn with us and if I didn't say it before,welcome to Hawkins high!"Mr Clarke said excitedly.

El nodded before mumbling a small 'thank you' and sitting back down.

"Well done El,"Mike whispered clutching her hand.

She smiled bashfully,"You know,its true what I said."

"It would be true if I said it too,I also love you El,"he sank back into his chair with a cheerful expression on his face.
