31) Chet exam

Zoey POV

I gulped down my salve as I wait in the underground dungeon, where we held the Demon Dodge-Ball game. The school is not over, which also mean in my case, my combat exam. And when the teachers allowed the students to stay and watched, didn't they hesitate to get here. There are students everywhere around the arena, and they are all cheering like this is a game match.

''SILENTS.'' Yell Kalego-sensei and instantly make everyone shut up.

''Go go Zo-Zo-Chi.'' I hear Clara cheer from the Misfit Class area. They have, what I can almost call, the deluxe place to watch this.

''SHUT IT.'' Scold Kalego-sensei at Clara, who then shut up, by the help of Alice's Gorgon Snake. Kalego-sensei cough and look directly at me. He stands in the middle of the line of teachers. ''Madeline Zoey. You are the first First Year Student in the school of Babyls to reach rank Chet (8). But we want proof that you deserve that rank. You knowledge and achievements are suitable for rank Chet, but your Combat is questionable. There for, will your exam be based of your combat skills.''

''Hai.'' I just said and take deep breath to calm down my nerves. I spotted dad and uncle Sullivan at the audience. Orias Oswell, the teacher of Astrologi, continue the explanation of the exam.

''We are permitting you to go all in, which mean you may use your family blood magic and those ribbons of yours, since they are part of you.'' Inform Orias-sensei and tilt his hat a little.

''Your exam is to fight three teachers at once.'' Add Raim-sensei to the explanation. ''You will fight Bars Robin, Stolas Suzie and your classroom teacher, Naberius Kalego.''

''The rules are simpel. You have to fight and get the teachers off the edge of the ring. But if you gets pushed off the ring, then the exam is over.'' Explain Dantalion Dali with his usual smile and let the chosen teachers to get ready.

''Hope you are ready, huwe.'' Says Suzy-sensei with her calm smile and step forward with the other two.

''We won't hold back either.'' Challenge Robin-sensei piped as always.

''Don't forget that, fool.'' Warn Kalego-sensei at Robin-sensei. Kalego-sensei then look at me, looking ready to fight. ''Let's begin.''

''R-Ready when you are.'' I challenge back and try to be brave. I get into fighting position, like dad taught me, and take a strong deep breath to calm down my nerves. Robin-sensei start it off by making a bow and arrows and aim at my. I dodge a few of them myself, but let my ribbon lift me up to safety, but it doesn't stop there. Suzy-sensei make a plant grow from the ground and send up at me with full speed. I swing around the plant and glide down of it and command my ribbons to capture the limbs of the two. In a great speed, wrap my ribbons around Robin-sensei and Suzy-sensei's arms and make them aim at each other. The plan worked and they hit each other, sending them to the side of the ring. Which leaves me with Kalego-sensei.

''Not bad.'' Praise Kalego-sensei to me, but then quickly change attitude to seriousness. ''But I won't let you win without a fight.''

''I never doubt that.'' I say back to him and let my ribbons move on their own. They move so that me and Kalego-sensei are trapped in a wall of ribbons, with ribbons in between to make it look like an obstacle course. Kalego-sensei snap his finger and create blue hell fire. He try to burn down the ribbons, but they didn't burn down. Instead, the ribbons move harshly around to shake of the flames, making our surrounding even more dangerous.

''That won't stop me.'' Says Kalego-sensei and charge at me. He dodge all the ribbons and get closer to me. I didn't react in time as Kalego-sensei punch me in the stomach and send me towards the end of the ring. I luckily stop in time before I fall off the edge. The ribbons return to me, not burning anymore, and is wrapping around my stomach as it is comforting me. ''You are holding back.''
