After a week from that accident with the Botany Tower, has Iruma gone by himself somewhere. I have tried to ask where he goes, but he doesn't answered my fully. He did insure it wasn't dangerous, so I let him be. Today are we gonna find our elective. I look at the paper and different things on it, and circle on one thing.
''Interacting with your familiar? Why are you choosing that?'' Ask Alice and look at my paper.
''My familiar might be dangerous, so I wanna create a strong bond with it, also studie it some more. Polly can do lots of amazing things so far.'' I answered kindly. ''What about you, Iruma?'' Alice take a peek on his paper.
''Ah, I see you have chosen classroom lectures.'' Says Alice.
''You just sit in a classroom and listen to lectures, right? All you have to do is sit there, so you don't stand out, right?'' Says Iruma and sweatdropped. Alice agreed and take it too. Then Iruma look over to Clara, who is secretly circling something on her paper. ''What did you choose for your electives, Clara?'' She jumped and her paper flew over to Iruma. I take a peek, but then reckret it.
''Succubus-sensei's Course in Seduction. You can't mean it Clara.'' I said and look sad at the poor girl. Maybe she can't read right.
''Don't you know how to read? You poor thing.'' Says Alice and agreed with me. Clara glared at him and stand on the table. Headbutting him.
''I can read just fine.'' Defend Clara.
''What? Then are you insane? What are you plotting?'' Argued Alice back.
''I am not-'' Clara then turn away and drop the conversation.
''Hey.'' Says Alice angry that she turned away.
''Just you wait, Iruma-chi. I will make you fall head over heels for me.'' Announce Clara and point at Iruma like she has two gun. We all three are confused by that.
*Time skip*
''Call out your familiar and let's get started.'' No surprise that it is Kalego-sensei that is in charge of this elective. He is the best in that subject. I sighed and call out Polly.

''Interacting with your familiar is by respecting them. If you were in a situation where you were fighting a monster and you don't have a good trust with your familiar, can your familiar just let you be unprotected and get eat without a punishment happen on your familiar, so respect them you fools.'' Explain Kalego-sensei cold as usual. We all nodded and startet. Some of the students believed that the best way for a trusted bond is by fighting the other familiar. But that is not for me. I started right away and brushed Polly's fur.
''Huh, seems you have made quite a bond with it already.'' Praised Kalego-sensei and observe us.
''I actually call it out a lot at night and brush its fur until it is smooth and fluffy. At the same time, do I study it many different ability.'' I told him, very proud of my decisions.
''You do remember to stay cautions, right?'' Ask Kelgo-sensei. I nodded and continue. Polly lift its head up and look over towards the others familiar, with its light pink eyes.
''Uhm, Kalego-sensei.'' I said out loud and pointed towards the others. A fight seems to be starting soon.
''Those idiots. Better stop them before anything goes out of control.'' Says Kalego-sensei and get ready to stop it, but Polly beat him up for that. It start swinging it's fan tail, making some white auroma dust. ''Oi, Madeline. Stop it.''
''Polly, please don't do that.'' I order, but it won't stop. The auroma reach the others familiar and they all fell down, asleep. ''Oh, that is right. White powder auroma is sleeping auroma. It will make whoever smell it fall asleep and Polly is able to make some specific people or creature to be effected by it.'' I read out loud from my notebook.
''Oi, Madeline. Good work stopping them, but I will kindly ask for you to give me a list of all the notes you have made so far and keep updating with me.'' I nodded to Kalego-sensei and start writing the list on a new paper.
*Time skip*
''Hey, Zoey-kun. Can I ask you a question?'' Ask Iruma before I walk into my room.
''Sure.'' I agreed and waited for him to speak.
''How do a Alef get ranked up to Bet?'' Ask Iruma and fiddle with his rank badge.
''Impress the teachers on the different exams through out the year. If they see you have grown, will they raise your rank.'' I explain the best I can. ''You can ask Alice tomorrow. He would probably give you a better explanation than me.''
''No, no, that was plenty enough infomation. Arigatou, Zoey-kun.'' Thanked Iruma and start walking towards his own room. I sighed and smiled at his questions.
''Seems like he actually like it here.'' I mumble and went into my room.
''Seems like it.'' I jumped at the voice and see that it is just dad.
''Don't scare me like that, dad.'' I complained and try get my heart to calm down.
''Sorry. I just wanna have I our monthly check up done now. I won't be able to tomorrow.'' Says dad very simple. I nodded and went to sit on my bed. He started by checking my body features. Then he want to look at my back, to see my wings. Yes, I do have wings, but they are paralyzed and weak, that is why I didn't fly at the race.
''Let me guess. Still unusable?'' I noticed my dad didn't say anything, so that would just mean the usual answer.
''The speciel demon doctor, that know your secret, told us they should be useful by now... but it seems they won't anyway... I will make an appointment so we can see the doctor again.'' Inform dad a little sad.
''How many years has it been now?'' I ask and change the subject.
''Almost 10 years. Wanna visit them?'' Ask dad back. I nodded without looking at him. I hear dad sighed and then walk over to my study table to take the plate of food. ''Let's see how your reaction for demon food is now. Sullivan-sama has been notified that you won't come to school tomorrow.''
''O-Okay.'' I mumble and take a bite of the demon stew. I didn't feel bad right away, so I continue eating the stew until there is nothing more. I then drink some Hell Gray Tea.
''Now, go to sleep. I will be near by.'' Says dad and walk out of my room with the plates. I changed into my red and pink nightgown. I lay on my bed and slowly fall asleep.
*Next morning*
My body haven't changed at all. I feel totally sick. I can't even get out of bed. The world is spinning and I feel like I gonna die very soon. My body still can't take 100% demon food. I need to eat at least 75% human food in every meal, to avoid getting sick like this.
''Um, excuse me.'' Iruma walk into my room, ready for school. ''Are you not coming, Zoey-kun?'' Ask Iruma, not knowing the situation.
''Do you remember what I told you about my sickness, Iruma?'' He nodded and stay his distance because my voice sound so groggy and sick, that he probably fear I will infect him. ''Well, each month do I take a check up to see how my body grows, and it seems I still can't take demon food, so I sadly has to stay home today and get better.''
''Oh, alright. Then get well soon. I will tell Azz-kun and Clara that you can't come today.'' I smile to Iruma and watch him go out my room. He is a good boy and a good friend.
