The next round of basketball games came way too fast, and we were back on the road. The only nice thing was I had zero classes to worry about. For once, I was able to attend the games and have zero stress if I would pass the test the following day.

"Hey, shorty. Can I sit with you?" Ramon asked; I had beat Parker onto the plane since Coach Rizzo wanted to speak with him.

"I don't think so" Parker's gruff voice came across. "Move along."

"You don't own her." Ramon snapped back at him, giving him a side-eye.

"Neither of you do." I piped up, wanting my voice to be heard. I got up and moved across the aisle to sit by Larry.

"Hey, Ringer." He said, pulling his headphones out of his ear. "You and Parker get into it?" He asked.

Honestly, I was just trying to avoid a conflict between Ramon and Parker before the game. But I could tell glancing at Parker that I had just made it, so he was mad at me instead of Ramon. That I could deal with. Because for once, I knew that I wouldn't be backhanded or kicked for doing something the guy I liked didn't want me to do.

I looked over and smiled at Parker. He looked back sullenly and gave me a small smile.

Larry laughed next to me, seeing Parker looking dejected. "He's hopeless."
