Dr. Benzedrine:

This feeling stirred in me for the longest time. I've always known how I felt about Lady Benzedrine. It was clear. Her energy has captured my attention since we've met. I couldn't think of anyone I want to spend endless time with. I yearned to be hers, but now that I am. I felt ready to tell her I love her. Last week when we went to Rodeo Drive. I noticed a small business that made and sold jewelry. The most beautiful necklace sat in the window. I could imagine Lady wearing it. Her gorgeous smile when she sees it. Telling her 'I love you.' I hope she returns the feeling. If I have to wait for her then that's okay with me. Sometimes I move too fast. Lady might want to wait. I doubt she'd tell me anything negative.

Stepping off the trolley, I made my way into town. When I arrived, I looked in the window one last time. There, in the center of the display, was a necklace stand. On the stand was a white pearl necklace with a hollow heart-shaped padlock. I opened the door. Ding! A little bell rang. "Hi, Welcome to Paramore jewelers," a saleswoman smiled. She had electric orange hair. Her outfit looked like something from the 1980s and her lipstick was wider than her mouth. "I'm Haley," she beamed. "I'm Dr. Benzedrine. I was hoping..." my words died off when I saw the sign.

"Hollywood Hills emergency!

Because of the disappearance of many suitehearts. A curfew has been put in place. Everyone must be home or in a safe location before dark. Failure to do so could be reported by the paparazzi or worse kidnapped.

By order of the conductor. "

"I'm sorry they just started putting those in every store. The business has been miserable. I lost a couple of employees already," Haley frowned. Once she realizes her sadness, Haley fixes her fake smile. "How can I help you, Dr. Benzedrine?" She asked. "The necklace in the window. I was hoping to perches it," I told her. "Wonderful," Haley cheered. She walked over to the register. Opening a draw and taking out the keys. Then she went to the window and opened the back of the display. I wondered around a little. Looking at all the items on display. "Here you go," Haley laid the necklace out on the counter. I shuffled over. A smile spread on my face.

"Is this a gift?"

"Yes, it's for my girlfriend."

"Aww, what's her name?"

"Lady Benzedrine," I blushed. Haley's eyes widened. "You have a counterpart! No way. That's so rare," she said, shocked. "There are a few-" Ding! The store bell rang, cutting me off.

Sabrina strutted in. She lifted her cat-eye sunglasses. "Benzedrine, I didn't think you would be here," she shouted with glee. I gulped. "Hi Sabrina," I said uncomfortably. She quickly walked my way and hugged me. My lips made a grim line. "Miss Snowbunny, if you'd give me a moment. I have your order in the back," Haley said to Sabrina. Sabrina turned her attention to Haley. "That's fine darling. Take your time," Sabrina smiled. She glanced down. "Ooo, that is beautiful. Add that to my order," Sabrina grinned.

"I'm sorry, this one is being purchased. If you would like, I can make you one. It might take a little while, but I can remake it no problem," Haley offered. Sabrina frowned. "It's not the same," she complained. I spoke up, " I'm sorry Sabrina. I'm buying this for Lady." Sabrina let out a giggle. "Oh Benzi, are you still trying to woo her?" She asked.

"Woo? No...I mean she's mine. I love her."

"Are you hers? Is there a relationship or just that benefit thing you had?"

"Hey! Lady was a little scared. You know that, but she isn't anymore. We are together. She is mine and I am hers. Happily hers," I retorted. Sabrina stepped back. Haley wrapped the pearl necklace up and placed it in a small box. I swiped my card. Haley handed me the box. I thanked her and left.
