Robo Power!

One delightful morning, Rico left the 8-Bit Arcade to meet up with Piper. Rico, always the protector of Piper, couldn't refuse the offer of course. As he was about to venture to the desert, he strangely feels his power depleting from his system.
Rico: "Power malfunction? I had charged up last night. Was the charger messed by Brock?"
Rico was filled with questions that couldn't be answered. He can't travel to Piper like this but he can't be late either. As he was thinking of a solution, he saw some robots looking at a poster near the arcade. He went to investigate what was the deal and saw it was an advertisement but one that didn't make him roll his eye.
"Feeling tired for no reason? Fast power depletion or lack of skills? Come on to BossBot's Court to test yourself, become stronger or do nothing I don't care! Robos and robettes only! Located in Super City"

Rico: "Perfect! I hope Piper doesn't mind if I come late. I still wonder why I'm losing power. I'll worry about that later, time to reenergize myself."
Rico started to run to Super City hoping his power doesn't deplete. Fortunately, he made it to the court where a long line of robots was seen waiting to enter. Most of them looked like the bots from Robo Rumble. As he went to the back to the line, he noticed two familiar figures waiting in the back.
Rico: "Stu? Surge? I didn't expect you two to come here."
Stu: "Oh hey Rico! Didn't expect you here either."
Surge: "Sup bro. Surge is glad to see you too!"
Rico: "Sooo what brings you two here?"
Stu: "Heh funny story. I've performed so many stunts near Starr Park that I became woozy for about 10 minutes. Woozy bots ain't too surprising but it was for me! So I came here to get myself in full speed again!"
Surge: "There weren't any reports of monsters around here so Max and I decided to do our own thing. Mine being to train myself to get ready for more monsters!"
Rico: "Interesting. I'm here for exercise is all!" Rico made an excuse so the two bots won't question his trip to Piper.
Stu: "Cool cool! I wonder if they have ramps in there."

*timeskip*

Stu, Surge and Rico finally made it in the court after waiting for so long. Rico was amazed to see the court from the inside. It was like a large circular field with many activities such as target practice, a race track, a monkey bar with oil on the bottom, etc. There was even a cafeteria on the right side away from the activities. Rico knew this will be an interesting experience. The bots took their seats after entering the entrance but before entering the court.
BossBot, the owner of the court, was standing behind the gate of the court waiting for all the bots to listen. It looked like the Boss Fight Bot but had on a black cap with "Robot" on the front and no spiky arms.
BossBot: "Alright robos and robettes! Glad to see you all safe and sound getting here in one piece. Name's BossBot, the owner of the court that you've stepped on. You all are here for one purpose or multiple: to get your energy back, to strengthen yourself, to become a hero or villian, to be like me or none for that matter. If you are one of those bots, DON'T COME BACK!"
A few bots took their leave after hearing that. Rico laughed under his breath quietly in his usual monotone.
BossBot: "Now that those morons are out, the rest of you newbies will be participating in a contest! Yes a contest that wasn't advertised but you got some skill so what the hell you have it! It's rather simple, you all gotta perform well in all these activities in the field proving yourself you are a powerful bot loved by all! You will be having a 30 minute break around the half of the contest before continuing."
Rico, Stu and Surge were furious. No contests were advertised but the owner gave them one anyway. Is it mad in the gear?! Before Rico was thinking about leaving, BossBot said something that got Rico's attention.
BossBot: "For the people who are in the top 3, you will each be giving "BossBot's Power Oil". You will be energized right away after taking it with no power depletion or weariness whatsoever!"
Whether what the owner said was true or false, Rico has to get that.
Rico(in his head): "I'll do it for you Piper. I promise."
BossBot: "Now that everything is covered," BossBot said as he opened the gate behind him, "Get in there and show me what awesome bots you will become!"
The bots cheered as they all ran past the gate and into the field.
