Forgotten Tragedy

During the early years of Brawltopia, there used to be a town known as "Fancyville." A place known to house the middle and higher class citizens of the area providing wealth, comfort, a democratic nation and a safe haven from all the wars that are happening in other areas. The slogan "A town with no worries" was the status quote of the town being self-explanatory clearing worries from visitors who enter the town. However, this town didn't last for long as it was destroyed and crumbled into the ground by outside forces. This would be the end of the story for this short-lived town but it would all change many years later.

Time has passed for quite a while and every location around the world was being reformed after being forgotten for many years. "Fancyville" was one of those locations being rebuilt but seem to change allowing festivities to be its main theme. In terms of the name, Fancyville was renamed into "Old Town." This ensured people to remember the name and also because they would abandon the traditions of Fancyville allowing every citizen from every class to reside and also allow "Festivities" to be its main theme despite the vintage aesthetic. However, the slogan "A town with no worries" was still used to this very day. A new community was formed in this now reformed town but this town would experience a major event that would change history forever. This was all thanks to a young 21 man named Kai Sersads (Sir-sads: Pronounciation)

Kai was one of the recent newborn of Old Town experiencing the beauty of festivities in his early years. However, as he grew older and the festive nature of the town grows stronger, he wanted to contribute to it by developing his own passion project he had dreamt of since high school: A theme park. Since Kai's family was well known in the town having a decent reputation, developing a theme park would surely pay off and everyone's eyes would be on him. While he liked the idea, he didn't want to do it right away but instead develop an attraction as a test in order to know if the public is okay with having an established theme park. And that would come in the form of a ferris wheel so he wasted no time and got to work hiring workers to participate in construction.

After a total of 72 days of construction, the ferris wheel was complete. The Old Town community was impressed of the design as it had a "stellar" design with a skull situated at the middle of it. This long endeavour proved to be a massive success with many children and teens riding on the ferris wheel every day especially on special events such as Lunar Year. The success was so huge infact that it became the landmark of Old Town and also promoting the Brawling sport featuring the ferris wheel as a background icon in its marketing material. Kai enjoyed the success, he loved the success, both financially and emotionally. His family congratulated him, his close friends congratulated him and even his own girlfriend, Joan. Everything that Kai thought would just be fantasy have come true. However, this is only the beginning of his theme park idea. Now that his first attraction has became a major success, he is confident enough to develop his own theme park with ease and a passionate team who now sees him as a brilliant idol. Unfortunately, this is also the beginning of his tragic downfall.

For the first few weeks of the construction process, everything was going smoothly for Kai and his employees overseeing the progress and ensuring everyone is happy. As the weeks go on though, the work environment became more "distasteful." Employees starting to argue on one another for not agreeing with a set plan, employees turning up late for work, employees becoming unmotivated during Kai's meetings, male employees hitting on female employees and much more. Kai was the "voice" of the team always preventing employees from becoming violent but doesn't seem to fully stop the problem due to his inexperience as the manager. Some employees had to quit because of the poor working environment and mismanagement of Kai spreading their awful experiences to the public which didn't sit well for Kai. His family even got concerned of Kai with his dad offering to take his place as manager since he has more experience than his son but Kai refused believeing that he won't fully realize the vision Kai wants for his theme park. However, he did inform his dad to let his mother, sister and Joan to check up on him during work hours as he's unable to go home after work hours which his dad did do. The conflict, slow progress, loss of his team and financial issues was taking a toll on Kai but he just couldn't stop. He needed to keep going. His theme park dream will come true no matter the state he is in.
