These will be the last couple of chapters.

 

   Night-night's pov now

   As Shattered reaches his tentacle to Dream, I climb down from the tree branches quickly.
   I need to use the marble on Shattered, he'll go to sleep and his magic will be drained so he won't be able to hurt anyone at least for a little while.
   I jump down on the strong branch in front of Shattered so I'm right between him and Dream.
   Shattered looks surprised to see me right in front of him.

  "Nightmare!" Dream yells from behind me. I turn to look at him, just to make sure he's okay. He looks worried that I'm so close to Shattered.
   I wish I could reassure him.
   I turn back to look at Shattered who has a slight look of guilt.
   "Let me kill him." Shattered begs he puts his hands on my chest and lightly grips my shirt.
   "No." I say bluntly.
   "A-as long as he's alive, you will always try to run away from me!" Shattered argues his eyes water with guilt in the back of his mind. His tentacles wrap around my arms, desperate just to hold me.

   "Shattered. You've done enough damage. Haven't you even stopped to look?" I tell him gentally.
   Shattered gulps as he looks down at Ink desperately trying to heal everyone, Horror took the biggest hit with most of his ribs broken as well as a sore back from where he hit the tree. Blueberry will be fine, but he's gonna get a new scar across his arm, but even with his bad arm, he's gonna have to carry Horror since he's the only one strong enough to even lift him. Dust's arm is broken as well, but he's not letting anyone look at it, far or less heal it.

   Shattered looks away as tears start balling in the corners of his eyes.
   "I- I can't stop... I just... I want to be with you! And I get angery when people try to stop me. And then I just-" Shattered crys as he grips the fabric of my shirt. His tentacles wrap around my arms and body. Preventing me from moving my arms at all.

   "I know. I know. It's like you feel before you think. And then people get hurt. There's no way to prevent you from feeling, but you can still practice controlling them." I tell him softly. Trying to keep him calm and keep his focuse on me.

   "That's why I need you! He doesn't! I need you with me!" Shattered holds me close, his tentacles squeezing me tighter till they hurt.
   "Shattered!" I try to calm him down and get him to realize that he's crushing me.
   "Please say you'll stay with me!" he crys and ignores my attempt of calming him down.

   "Nightmare!" Dream behind me trys to get to me and help, Shattered glares at him his tentacles look like they're ready to strike.
   "Shattered, I chose you! Just ignore him! You're my brother!" I tell him, that get's Shattered's attention.

   Dream's expression changes to hurt and backs away.
   Shattered kisses me. I wish I didn't have to hurt Dream to save him. And I'm sorry to Shattered who fell for my manipulative plan.
   I slip my toung through Shattered's teeth and quickly move the marble from under my toung, into his mouth.

   Shattered trys pulling away from me, but by the time he can, the marble is already in his mouth and he accidentally breaks it into the golden magic.
   Shattered looks up at me with the most betrayed look I've seen. It breaks my heart to see him like this. Tears fall from his face as the weight of his tentacles grip around my body loosens and his body starts to get weak as he falls to unconsciousness.

   I hold him close to prevent him from falling out of the tree.
   "I'm sorry." I mutter in his ear, "I love you... Shattered." I whisper quietly to him as his body goes limp in my arms and his body switches to his passive form.

   I kiss his cheek and pick him up in my arms so I can carry him. I turn back to Dream who looks at me with shock.
   "Are you okay?" I ask him. He slowly nods and climbs over to me.
   We both make our way down the tree's branches and help eachother down as I carry Shattered.

   "I'm sorry I said that." I apologise to Dream.
   "I know. You had to say that. You were just trying to protect me." Dream says. I put my hand lightly against his cheek, his hand reaches up and holds it there for a second as he lightly smiles to me.

   As Ink notices that we're all down Dream and I take our hands away from eachother. He runs over to us and Error appears through a portal.

   "Nice of you to finally show up." I growl at him.
   "Unlike Dream. Tentacles really aren't my thing." Error teases, his haphephobia shows. "Ink and I can take him from here."
   I glare at Error as I hold Shattered close to me.
   "We aren't going to hurt him Nightmare. We'll just take him back to his au and make sure that he can't leave." Ink explains happily. The way Ink says that doesn't help calm my nerves about giving Shattered to them.

   "I can take away his ability to open portals to other AUs. He'll be fine, and he won't be able to hurt anyone else." Error trys to convince me.
   Dream places his hand on my shoulder and smiles to me softly, making me calm down a little more, and feel like it's going to be okay.

   "Okay..." I say reluctantly. I let Error's strings take Shattered out of my arms, then Ink and Error teleport away with Shattered.

   My heart stings with worry, like I made the wrong choice.
   "He'll be okay." Dream hugs my arm. I look down at him and with a worried expression. "If they say that they'll take care of him, then I believe them."
   "Thanks." I smile lightly at him.
   "I know how much you worry about people you care about." Dream smiles. Before I can reply Dream interrupts me, "It's okay. I'm not jealous. He's a version of me anyway. It's a shame that me and him can't put our differences aside to be friends. We both just want you to ourselves." Dream smiles.
   "Now you sound like him." I tease. Dream giggles.

   It's interesting how similar they are. Being with Shattered makes me now notice more of the sinister sides that Dream has already.
   Good. Sane people have never been my taste it turns out.

 

Good enough.
Just get this chapter out! It's so late, and it doesn't need to be perfect!

Sorry for the delay.
Truth be told.
Laziness got a hold of me.

I'm gonna take a break from writing for a while.

This is the end of this... Era of the story? But I think there's going to be a second era, cuz this is not a satisfying enough ending.
But I still need a break.
So it's gonna be a while before I update.
