Nightmare's stomach turned in a way that made him want to throw up. His hearing seemed to go quiet, leaving nothing but a ringing sound in his ear. Temptation grew inside his soul, almost feeling like there was needles in his throat as he had started breaking into a cold sweat.
He shivered, instinctively grabbing his arm with his hand and squeezing it as he tried to hold back the temptation. As he tried to control his breathing, all he could smell was alcohol, it almost felt like he could taste it in the air. As if his senses were dialed up, just to be closer to just one more drink. Just a sip. One couldn't hurt. Just one.
   But it's never just one.

The air soddenly felt thick, like he couldn't breath, and his throat became dry with thurst.
Nightmare squeezed his arm until it hurt. Be strong.
"I need some air." Nightmare said under his breath, barely audible especially with everyone at the party talking over eachother.
Not that Nightmare could hear it, but Dream was trying to get Nightmare's attention. Worry and concern filled Dream's eyes as he felt Nightmare's fear without understanding what had happened.

Without another word Nightmare turned on his heel and briskly walked to the nearest way outside.
Outer stopped Dream from chasing after Nightmare, wanting to keep his friend safe from the delusion that Dream had made of Nightmare. In doing so, Nightmare disappeared into the crowd, away from Dream's sight, even when he was able to escape Outer, the rest of the crowd wanted a chance to say hi to 'their' beloved Dream.

Feeling like he was about to pass out from suffocating in the thick air, Nightmare luckily found an empty patio that led outside.
The glass door's swung open as Nightmare practically ran out them.

He went straight to the railing, leaning his bare palms against the cold metal and took in a deep breath of the fresh air as he unbuttoned some of the top buttons on his shirt that felt too tight around his neck. He let out a relieved breath, that made a cloud of steam form in the air.
He shivered in the moonlight, still feeling the heavy effects of withdrawal but glad that he was at least outside.
Nightmare looked down at his hands, they shook uncontrollably even as he tried to ball them into fists in attempt to make them stop.
   Be strong.

"Nightmare?" Dream's angelic voice called from behind him. He turned to Dream, seeing his beloved brother who seemed to radiate a warm light in the darkness of night.
The light actually came from inside the ball room, and reflected through the glass doors behind Dream.
The curtains of the glass doors seemed to close on their own as Dream closed the doors behind him, giving them both some privacy as he walked up to Nightmare. Stepping away from the warm light of the inside, and stepping into the cold air, lit in moonlight.

"Are you okay?" Dream asked his brother in a soft voice. Taking Nightmare's hands into his own. "You're hands are so clammy." He said more out of surprise than anything.
"How much alcohol did Ink even drink?" Nightmare asked with distress in his voice, as if Dream had any way of knowing the answer. Still, that made Dream understand what was troubling Nightmare.
"Oh, I see..." Dream looked up at Nightmare in worry. He thought about what to else to ask his distressed Nightmare, "Are you gonna be okay?" Dream asked, fearful of the answer, but in the situation, it was important for Dream to know.

Nightmare then had to think of his answer, looking down at Dream and feeling mostly in control, he nodded.
"Ya, at least, I think so..." he told him with a bit of anxiety left in his throat.
"I'm glad." Dream let out a relieved breath as he smiled softly, looking up at Nightmare. He held Nightmare's hands tightly, "Not just glad." Dream leaned into Nightmare's arms, "I'm so proud of you Nightmare.♡" Dream's smile could light up the sky, the golden aura stung Nightmare's soul, and made him internationally wince at the brightness.
Even so, he couldn't help but smile back at Dream.
"You're aura is so annoying.♡" Nightmare chuckled, he leaned down to Dream, wrapping his arms around his little golden sun  and kissing his mouth deeply. Neither of them caring if they're caught in the moment as Dream wrapped his arms around the back of Nightmare's neck and held him closer locking their mouths together and deepening their kiss.
